Alone As I Can Be
Alone As I Can Be
Sun shines bright in people's lives,
But it shined so brightly this summer that my life blacked out.
I was as alone as alone can be
And was just like a little abandoned sprout!!
Those words were so flattering,
I couldn't figure out that they could be pernicious.
Admonished by the bitter truth of life,
Still I fell for your talks- flattering, and gracious!
Deep down you stabbed me,
And yet you didn't realize.
The summer was over
Still you acted that there was no spice.
I got choked with the guilt of having you,
And thought it to be the end of my world.
But there was a little light that pushed its way through,
And healed both my outer and inner whorl.
Today you came back,
But there is still a knot between us.
I am not lonely,
But I am alone as alone can be!!
