I Am A Mother

I Am A Mother

I don't need a fancy cabin,

Neither a space of my own,

I don't need a sleek machine,

Neither high-end smartphone.

I don't need calendar reminders

Neither assistant to update me

I don't heed a working schedule

Neither a moment that's "free".

Roles are varied, my parts differ,

Sometimes boss, at times worker,

Can be teacher, at times learner,

Too many hats, I always wear.

The endless energy, emotions abound.

With my child's cries, I wither,

And my child's smile, I rebound,

Every moment, I emerge stronger.

I care not for honors, nor name

Bouquets or brickbats don't bother,

I desire not awards, not crave fame

I just love my work, I am a MOTHER...
