Abstract Drama Others

Free from the Chains

Free from the Chains

I sat up in the midnight when the night was still,

Screaming from within and tears rolling down unseen.

"Why?, Why me??", my tortured soul speaking to me,

Now, my laugh turns into a scream,

My hopes turning to broken dreams

I wandered with my heart to places untold,

For I knew that my heart was never too cold.

But all changed one day when the soul I trusted once,

made me hear under a curtain of hearts, a rotten truth.

Of you were never by my side when I was in yours.

I sit on my table with my head hung down,

And relief in my hand to free me from the chains of the world.

The night was then also still, until somewhere,

A trigger pressed and a soul was free from the chains of the world.
