Don’t Follow your Dreams (27 Nov)

Don’t believe the ones who tell you,

To follow your dreams,

It’s a fallacy, mind you,

Only idiocies and subject of memes

Dreams are fake,

They are misleading,

Not one person alive,

Knows for sure their meaning

Dreams are seen,

Only when you sleep,

Has a snoring shepherd,

Ever controlled his wandering sheep

You might think, 

Your dreams ignite the fire within,

It’s more likely a pyre,

Where your life is seething

God is too busy,

To visit you in your dreams,

That too to leave you a sign,

Which many can’t comprehend, means

Only successful people say,

The dreams that they followed have come true,

Because they want to keep,

The actual reasons hidden from view

Keep your head down,

And work hard towards your goals,

Dreams are for you entertainment,

Enjoy them and scroll

Shallow is the life,

Built on dreams and little else,

For what good are images,

That are inside your head

It takes perseverance and sweat,

And a huge chunk of luck to succeed,

Once you have reached your goal, you can then say,

Following my dreams helped me exceed
