Broken Marriage
Broken Marriage
My forehead is now damp
Standing in this heat
Seems like there is a fire
Started just beneath my feet.
Seldom comes a wind
That puts me to ease
Like those early days
That early spring breeze.
My car broke down
I tried to make amends
Finally had to give up,
it's always how it ends.
Memories with the car
Go long and deep
The good rides we had,
That giant highway leap.
Here I stand waiting
Staring at my keys
Until I find the right bus
A wait is all there is.
