Better to be

Better to be

Better to be

I'd choose darkness over light's warm glow,
To lose myself in its depths, and let moments flow.

I'd rather be fire than water's gentle stream,
To feel the kite's thrill, and its soaring dream.

I'd rather be a play than a static frame,
To embody new roles, and let characters claim.

I'd rather be the earth than the sky's vast dome,
To gaze at the distance, and feel its gentle tone.

I'd rather be tomorrow than today's certain fate,
To feel hope's promise, and the dawn's early state.

I'd rather be a poem than a structured rhyme,
To express all that's left unsaid, and let emotions climb.

I'd rather be the evening than the morning's dew,
To feel the longing, and the waiting anew.

If words could be better, I'd be the perfect phrase,
To find the lost hope, and let it gaze.

I'd rather be a bicycle ride than a train's swift pace,
To savor the journey, and enjoy the scenic space.

I'd rather be a garment's fold than a mere cloth's design,
To feel the love and care, that's woven in its line.

I'd rather be a sparrow than a heron's majestic flight,
To sing the songs, and let the melodies take flight.
