A Lonely Night
A Lonely Night
I witnessed a star fall by as their constellation just stood by.
'Twas a night that the sleep had betrayed.
I felt strange at how from my rest I was astray,
May be that was how the solitude itself portrayed.
The midnight was thick & patched with glowing matchstick,
They all glow & yet they are so alone.
A testament that when You burn with you there is none.
May live in a bunch ,but, like a star you are alone when you shine.
I was humbled by the expanse of the universe,
Wondered how it was lifeless & even though so diverse.
It's inhabitants so grand they often make me go nervous,
Yet I find solace realising that they are alone & still serve a purpose.
The night gives a time to reflect on our choices,
Try not repeat if they are wrong & continue if are right.
Needn't worry for losing a sleep as you wake up to new things,
But, remember, the Sun deserves not what's better left for the night.
