A Failed Love

A Failed Love

They both smiled at one another's fate.

Since they now realised it was too late.

On an uncertain path, their feet had tread,

Their dream of being together was nothing but dead.

The fingers of their hands knotted for a final adieu,

A tear transported the girl to her eventful past;

She now knew everything would be a memory at last.

Her eyes had lost shine in the event of that romantic demise.

The boy parked his mind in the limbo of thoughts,

His heart now hit hard breaking the castle of his dreams;

The life without his Queen would land him in sorrowful streams.

It was now the occasion for his love life's requiem.

The moment had now arrived to let it go,

As the fingers began returning to their flow.

An unusual dent was made on their souls,

And that void would always remind them of a failed love.
