The Strange Man

It was a dark night. I was traveling back to home from office in my car with my friend. It was raining heavily and both of us I was trying to drive fast. "it's too dark. Let's drive faster. I think we should take that short cut.", My friend Ramesh said, pointing towards a small path going towards city. I said, "Yes, you are right. Let's go." I moved my car in that direction. After driving for few minutes, suddenly someone came in front of my car from nowhere. I was sure accident will happen & I hit that person with my car. I stopped the car & came out. To my surprise, noone was there. I was shocked.

I sat in the car. Ramesh said, "Brother, there is something wrong here. Let us drive fast & reach out home." We sat in the car & drove faster. Horrible sounds were coming from all around. We were scared. As we were driving, some stranger stopped the car for life. We thought he is in need & we let him in. He looked like a villager. He said, "Thank you for the lift." 3 of us started moving. The stranger said, "I know a shortcut. We will reach out homes faster." That man took us to a narrow lane which was a shortcut to our locality according to him. He was a strange man, without any expression on his face, eyes fully red & he was biting his teeth in an evil manner. He actually looked horrible.

We moved towards the short-cut road. Strange voices start coming from that road as we came nearer. We were scared. I thought it is a trap & that person sitting with us is defenetly some evil person. As we were about to enter that narrow lane, a horrible voice of a woman came from there, "Come inside, come inside. I was just waiting for you. Come inside fast, Ha, Ha, Ha, move fast." We were so scared that we were unable to breathe. My friends tried to turn back the steering but he was stuck. He was just sitting in the car but some unknown power was controlling the car. The car was moving faster towards that lane. The stranger sitting with us said, "Yes, go fast, go fast. Ha, ha, ha! You will get a huge surprise." We understood that the person sitting with us is a ghost.

But I always keep Hanuman Chalisa in the dashboard of my car. Without wasting a second I took it out and put it over the head of that stranger. The stranger started crying & burnt into ashes. We were shocked to see the scene. My friend said, "Oh God,he was ghost. Let us return. But some unknown power is attracting me towards that hole." I said don't worry & started chanting Hanuman Chalisa. The horrible lady shouted, "Stop that mantra, stop it." Both us looked towards each other, me & my friend.

We stepped out of car & taking Hanuman Chalisa, ran towards that horrible lady. She shouted,"Keep that book away, keep that book away." We ran faster, my friends held one of the horrible hands of that lady and put Hanuman Chalisa just over her head & started chanting. She shouted, "No....." & got burnt into ashes. We were safe. We returned back to our home. All the way we were just chanting Hanuman Chalisa. 

It was a horrible experience. Till now I remember the face of that horrible lady & that strange man. From that day onwards, I always keep Hanuman Chalisa with me. Jai Bajrang Bali.
