The class teacher of Ramesh understood everything, came to the podium, politely took the mike from Ramesh and started speaking, "ladies and gentleman, I am sorry to say that we will have to stop here for a while for a tea break. So please enjoy some snacks in the canteen and come back after half an hour. Thank you". Listening to the professor everybody left the auditorium.
Now there were only two people in the auditorium, the professor and Ramesh. To Professor asked Ramesh politely, "What happened to you Ramesh? You are such a brilliant student. Why you suddenly stopped speaking?" Ramesh said, "I am sorry sir, I don't know. Suddenly the lights went off, and the slides went down. I was not able to speak anything." The professor said, "Ramesh, it happened because you were not prepared in reference to the topic on which you have giving the presentation. You were completely dependent on the slides. This is the reason that when the lights went off, you were not able to speak a single word.
Ramesh, the main part of the presentation is what you are speaking to the audience. Slides and graphics are just the examples to support what you are speaking. But if you are completely dependent on slides, it means that you are not sincerely preparing for the presentation & you are not preparing thoroughly for crucial events which our school is consistently organising. In future you will have to work in some organisation as an employee. I am sorry to say this but if this type of mistake happens ove there, you may be fired by your organisation. But please be relaxed, it's okay. I hope you understood what I want to say and you will not repeat the same mistake again."
Ramesh said, "Thank you very much for your kind support Sir. Now I have understood that what mistake I was making. I promise you it will never be repeated again." The professor look at Ramesh with a smiling face, put his hand over his head & said, "God bless you." But Ramesh was standing still.
