Early in the morning, the sun was shining, flowers were blooming, colourful birds chirped while flying in the air.

When Angela uncovered herself she was startled to see the white paper that she saw in the living room; lying on the table by her bed side. She thought that Jonathan brought it, but he was sleeping. She also thought that the dog couldn't have brought the paper. She stood up slowly and looked over the paper.

“Good morning, Angela. How are you?”

Her heart almost skipped a beat when she saw the message on the paper. Two things were running through her mind: The first one was, “What is my name doing on this paper?" The second one was," Who brought the paper here?" She did no mistake of touching the paper. She quickly got a book and put it on top of the paper. She could not see the paper anymore.

Since it was morning, she had to make breakfast for Jonathan and Snowball. She went downstairs and walked into the kitchen. She gave Jonathan her cereal. Jonathan was very hungry that he finished his cereal in no time. Jonathan wanted more cereal. Angela dashed to the kitchen and got the cereal box in the cupboard. She saw another paper with the following message when she turned the box.

“Angela, aren't you going to serve me as well?”

Upon seeing the message, Angela ran from the kitchen to the living room in just a second.

"What was the meaning of that?" She asked herself. Her heart dropped with fear. She couldn't go back to the kitchen. The child continued demanding for more cereal. She had to think of something fast. She decided to go to her neighbour for help.

She carried Jonathan on her back, the dog followed on foot. She passed the thorn tree and saw a guy cleaning a red Mitsubishi 1990 model. He wore a black vest and black trousers with white flip-flops. Angela started running towards the guy.

Upon her arrival; the guy who was cleaning the car almost ran away because; Angela was running like someone was chasing her and because she was panting heavily like a thirsty dog.

   “Hello.”

“Hi,” he responded looking at Angela and looking at where she came from. He hoped to see someone chasing her. But apparently, there was no one. He was puzzled.

“How are you doing?” She greeted him while walking towards him. This gesture crept the guy.

He replied, "I am doing fine," he quickly asked, "But why are you running?"

"It's kind of a long story," she answered. She then asked, "What is your name?”

“Jason Williams,” he replied with a smile on his face.

"Well Jason, I’m Angela. I need your help.”

“What do you mean?” his face changed from happy to confused.

Angela explained everything that had happened.

She then asked him politely, "Would you please be with me until Mrs. Johnson returns?"

“What do you mean? We just met.”

She pleaded with him for several minutes and finally he agreed. Jason said he would be with Angela as soon as he is done cleaning the car. But Angela was too scared to go back inside so she helped him clean the car while Jonathan was inside the car, he was in the driver seat playing with the steering wheel. The dog was sleeping near the left back tyre of the car.

After an hour, they finished cleaning the car. They then went inside Mrs. Johnson's house. They passed the living room and went to the kitchen where the incident happened. The kitchen was opposite the dining room and close to the stairs. Because of the incident, the kitchen was a mess. There was cereal on the floor.

Jason picked up the box of cereal and turned it so that he could see what Angela saw. But there was nothing unusual. It was just a box of cereal. Angela was shocked when Jason turned the box to find nothing. She wondered where the paper was.

“Angela, I can't see any paper on the box or anywhere, are you sure you saw a paper?"

“Do you think I am lying? Why then would I come to you for help?" Her eyes showed fear and truth.

"No, no. See I'm not saying that you are lying or anything. It's just that I can't see the paper you told me about...” While Jason was still talking, Angela remembered the paper she found that morning.

“Let me go to my room and bring you the note I got this morning." Angela ran upstairs to her room to check for the paper that she hid with a book. When she removed the book from the table, there was nothing. She screamed.

Jason heard her screaming, he left everything and ran to Angela with Jonathan on his back.

     “What? Why did you scream?”

“Jason, I swear that I had put this book on a paper,” There was panic in her voice.

“Ok, Ok, Angela. Rest for a while maybe you saw an illusion.”

“No!" she replied in anger. She continued, "I did not see an illusion, Jason! That was real. I saw the papers."

She walked over to a phone and tried calling Mrs. Johnson but her phone was switched off. She wanted to inform her that she wasn't going to be in her house for any longer. She was sweating. She couldn't sleep in the house alone.

With tears in her big eyes, she asked Jason, "Would you please spend a night here? I am scared, I can't stay here alone. Please...."

Jason wanted to refuse but after seeing her in tears, he assured her, “I'll see what I can do."
