Hot Dog

             My birthplace is a very small town. There was not any facility for higher education particularly in science as well as technical education. This town was encircled by very small villages. But the merit of this town that it was on main railway track. There were good railway train frequency. The students from lower and middle classes preferred daily, to and fro journey by train. There was a huge crown of students as well as employs at the station every day. It costs bomb to all the students as well as employs to stay at their workplace. So they preferred this option. One of our student friend had to pay money for monthly season ticket for attending the college at other big town. My town was sandwich between two big towns having more better educational facilities. he was too poor to purchase the monthly tickets. Within few months, he studied about all loopholes of the railways at both the stations. Daily traveling by trains he acquired a lot of confidence in him. Most of the daily traveling passenger recognized him. Initially he used to get in and out of train when it was in motion.

                    We requested him in the beginning that this your habit would be turn out to be fatal. He was cold shoulder to our suggestion just by light smiling. We told him about two incident. One  mature girl was daily coming to big town from other big town which was in opposite direction of our town. It was not bob’s her uncle. It was very difficult task for her. But she was not coach potato. It was her firm determination to complete that mission to fulfill her dream. No doubt, she belonged to very poor family ,but her dream was strong which was seen by naked eyes. She was about to catch her target. One day she missed the boat. She kept her bicycle in the stand. She saw the train already stationed in the station. so she was in hurry. As soon as she reached the platform, the train caught the motion. since she was regular traveler by train, she thought that she was able to get in in the running train as usual. She was making effort to get in the compartment. Many passengers of railway and her daily colleague shouted not attempt to get in.

But, she was in dual mind. Unfortunately, there was some problem with her in getting into boogie. She lost her balance. immediately, her legs came in side wheel of a same boogie. They crushed from below knees of both legs. Train was the stopped due this worst incident. She was taken to hospital. But she lost her legs for ever. A girl who very charming, friendly behavior with all colleague, capable of achieving big target in her life. She was very near to her set benchmark. Instead of self reliance in her life, became dependent ,physical handicapped still her last breath.

                   There was another sad incident from our small town. My senior friend who was the son of doctor in the town. He was in our school. His younger sister was in the class of my younger sister in girl high school. She used to come my home to meet her friend. Many times, I took my younger sister to her home on bicycle. That is why we were friends. His father wanted him to be doctor like him and his elder sister. He was also serious about his father’s ambition. He was also a regular railway traveler. One day train was late. He had to reached somewhere very urgently for some work. Since train was running late. He decided to get down from the train as soon as it reaches to the passenger bridge at the station. So there would not be rush of passengers. He could save the time so that he would be in time to his decided target. Generally, train is in slow motion while running at station. easily, passenger without luggage could stepped down. On that day, train was late. So it was not in slow motion as usual. But my friend already planed in his mind of stepping out in motion. He was under pressure due to his urgent work. He wanted to Bite the bullet. As soon as railboogie reached to passenger bridge, he jumped from the boogie . He lost his balance. He got himself on the running track. His one leg caught inside the running wheel. In this way he lost his one leg. Since family was from medical background having an arm and leg. His fatter replaced his broken leg by the artificial which cost bomb.

                        

 After few month our stunt friend become so expert in his stunt. He used to run on the top of boogies when train was in full motion. He also used to run over top of boogies of a running train from last to first boogie and back several times during his journey. He never purchased monthly season tickets like other friends in his entire college life . He sock away in this way. when ever there was checking , he shift from one boogie to another boogie making him fool. Some tickets checkers were aware of this boy on that the railway route. But they couldn’t caught him at red hand. He was so useful to his other friends. By chance, his any friend did not reached the platform in time. If he saw him on the way, then he used to stop train for him just going to back side outside the boogie by turning the vacuum key. Train get stopped. His friend entered into train. After some time before coming of railway man to chain pulling boogie. He again reset the key. Then train again got restart and proceed for next destination. So he earned the all the technical knowledge of general operation of train known to the railway personnel. He was famous among all daily travelers on the rout as hot dog.
