#Teacher's Day

Shri Shiv Murti Pandey was my younger grandfather (younger brother of my grandfather). He completed his Graduation in Sanskrit from Kashi Vidyapeeth. As he was in search of a job, close friends & relatives motivated him to learn English as it was in demand in those days. He not only learned English but along with that completed his     M. com also & joined as Lecturer in Maharajganj Inter College, Uttar Pradesh.

He later qualified UP government exam & became an auditor.

Even in his family, he motivated many people to pursue reputed courses & even helped them in doing so. He made major reforms in Maharajganj Inter College which includes beautification of the promises, upgradation of the library, intellect developing of extracurricular activities for students, collaboration with other colleges in fests & events and much more.

Shri Shiv Murti Pandey loved children very much. While returning home he used to bring toffee & chocolates for the children of his family & then helped them in completing their homework. Children also eagerly uses to wait for him in the evening.

The best part of his teaching was he used to explain everything by giving real-life examples. His examples majorly included village life issues. 

Because of their ability of his, everyone in the village used to listen to him very

carefully. There were many people in the village who were having no interest in getting educated. Dealing with them forcefully could have worsened the situation. So he came upon an idea. 

 He used to teach students outside his home in the village. While explaining concepts to students, he started adding examples of real-life issues of village people. His philosophy was, "correlate educational concepts with common people's daily life & the motivation of studying will automatically get developed in people."

 His plan worked. People intentionally started doing their work at the same time when he was teaching students. Now, this was his time to begin his game. He started explaining concepts of economics taking reference to incidences that have occurred with people of the villages. This made village people more interested in his teaching & they further started enquiring about necessary things.

 

To our surprise, many of the villagers were motivated enough that they even completed their 12th standard & took admission in graduation courses. This motivation continued & most of the people became graduates in my village. All thanks to the motivational strategies of Shri Shiv Murti Pandey.

He was a true inspiration, a true teacher & a real educationist who knew the value of education in human life.
