A Spiritual Leader

Pandit Ashutosh Shukla is our family priest. He is from my own village by the name Nawali in Uttar Pradesh. He is a Sanskrit Scholar & works as an independent Professional, performing religious rituals at people's homes & temples. He is a "Katha Wachak"( Spiritual Story Teller) also.

He is our family priest & whatever cultural & religious ceremonies happen at our home, only he is cordially invited as the chief priest to perform all the religious functions. 

Pandit Ashutosh Shukla is a great scholar in himself. He performs prayers very devotedly & with complete commitment. Along with that, he is a great singer also. Whenever he chants mantra in slow motion with music, it feels like I am actually getting connected with God. When he performs the pooja ceremony, you actually feel proud of your culture & ancient heritage. He has got full knowledge of the pooja ceremony being performed on various occasions & he always ensures that necessary materials required for the pooja are available one day prior to the actual date of the pooja.

He always says that "Our ancient pooja ritual is purely scientific & the material being used in pooja & hawan not only provides mental peace but also purifies environment as the fumes from Hawan Kund destroy all the toxic elements in the air & make our atmosphere clean".

His clients are in India & abroad as well. Before finalizing the actual date of the pooja, this person always conducts a private meeting with the organizing family & makes them understand all the details of the pooja & what they should do to make it successful & satisfying. Sometimes during the actual ceremony, the necessary items go missing or sometimes people forgot to purchase something, he fulfils the needs of his clients in his own pocket with a sole focus on accomplishing the pooja ceremony successfully.

He takes the pooja ceremony very seriously & never keeps his client in doubt. Unless all the necessary materials required for pooja are not there, he never starts. He very often says that" If you are praying, pray with emotion & fulfil the requirement of that specific pooja. Otherwise, no positive outcome will be gained."

Whenever he chants a mantra, he chants with a beautiful rhythm. He has really a great voice. One day I asked him, " Why do you chant mantras with a rhythm? Can't we speak out as it is?"

He smiled & said, " Mantras & shlokas are the most powerful elements of any Pooja. If you chant them with music & rhythm, their power increases & it affects the human body in the most positive manner."

Pandit Ashutosh Shukla is a person who not only performs pooja ceremonies but he has a deep understanding of the Scientific aspect of rituals as well.
