The issues facing the Tribal People have not yet found a lasting solution, despite the passage of so many years since independence. The women of the tribal civilization are fighting in the midst of this incredibly difficult environment.

On May 26, 2020, independent India entered a new era. An indigenous woman has become the vice chancellor of a university for the first time in independent India by overcoming the barriers of race and caste. JNU Professor Sonajharia Minz was appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Sidho-Kanho Murmu University in Jharkhand. Draupadi Murmu, the governor of Jharkhand at the time, was a tribal leader who chose Sonajharia for this crucial position. The School of Computer and Systems Science at JNU was where Professor Minz had her position. When the daughter of their home became the Vice-Chancellor, the entire state of Jharkhand exulted in a corona atmosphere. But this achievement hides a tragic tale of several setbacks, embarrassments, and pains.

Ranchi served as Sonajharia Minz's educational setting. Her war and resolve started from there. Minz was denied entrance to an English-medium school for two reasons : first, she was an adivasi, and second, the administration of that specific Catholic school did not like the fact that her father was a Protestant priest. She has frequently heard, "It won't be by you." Her teachers made this remark. However, this was not a result of Sonajharia's poor academic performance; rather, her native identity and limited English proficiency were the only factors contributing to this remark. Sonajhariya has since made the decision to persist. She would study and prove that she, or "They" could. Fluency in English is merely a habitual skill, nothing more. Her accomplishments are a direct result of her tenacity and emphasis on talent. She successfully relocated to Chennai after finishing school. Madras Christian College awarded her a degree. She then completed a Mathematics MSc there. She then pursued her MPhil and PhD in computer science at JNU in New Delhi. She then continued to teach there for a while. She was a part of the university's teachers' organisation in addition to teaching. She teamed up with the students and participated actively in a number of protests. In the meantime, she has learned to speak English fluently, at a time for which she was ridiculed.

Professor Minz took charge as vice chancellor. She also demonstrated once more that language, caste, or religion cannot thwart humankind's highest aspirations. Lutheran Bishop Emeritus Nirmal Minz, the proud father of Sonajharia Minz of the Oraon tribe, was a prominent freedom fighter. In Ranchi, he established Gosnar College. He served as the tribal society's language instructor. For his contributions to the growth of the language of the Kudukh population of the Oraon tribe, he also received the language prize in 2016.

When the Aryans arrived in India, the primitive inhabitants of India became marginalized people. Since then, a lot of water has flowed through the Ganges, but the picture of indigenous people being exploited has not altered. Harijans are still denied many of the 'fundamental rights' guaranteed by the constitution in various areas of our nation. Sonajharia came up from that tribal group. The road of battle throughout the history was thorny. As much as the higher caste Hindus have achieved a place in society from its conception to the second century of the twenty-first century today, the downtrodden class of the society has suffered from need and neglect. According to the sociological tradition, this is their infallible forehead writing. Indian civilization, which we Indians are immensely proud of, is essentially the bearer and carrier of Aryan civilization. Aryan civilization has dominated Indian history in its entirety. Therefore, the foreign conquering Aryans dictated India's fate. Additionally, the non-Aryan community, who were India's original occupants, has been subjugated by the Aryan society. Aryan cultured people had no interest in getting to know them. Additionally, they have had trouble accepting non-Aryans as "humans."

As often as the Aryans and non-Aryans fought each other in the Cold War throughout history, the non-Aryans consistently lost. In the woods was where they lived. All forms of happiness, comfort, luxury, and addiction to civilisation have been taken away from them. However, despite thousands of issues, they did not allow their culture to perish. They have been preserving their favourite traditions and culture in their own community for years while being outside the Aryan world. In independent, sovereign, secular, democratic, republican India, there hasn't been much migration of non-Aryan communities in the decades after independence. They have gained the esteem of the Scheduled Tribes due to government benevolence. In the multi-faceted written history of India, therefore, the non-Aryan nation is not readily available.

Where recognized history denies a people, it is obvious that the nation will not get much place in the society in terms of education, literature, culture, politics, economy, etc. According to Mahasweta Devi "The patience of the mountains and the tranquilly of the river are both present among the indigenous people. Each indigenous group resembles a continent. But we had no desire to learn about them."

According to the latest census of India, about one-sixth of the total population of the country is indigenous. Almost all of India's provinces have Orao, Munda, Santal, Kol, Vill, Lodha, Kheria, Shabar, Mahali, Gond, Birhar, Ganju, Ho, Toto, Putya, and Chitrakar among other groups that go by various names. The tribal civilization has only been exploited, dominated, and subjugated by the bearers and carriers of Aryan culture. Therefore, even after so many years of independence, there hasn't been a fundamental solution to the native people's concerns with food, clothes, shelter, education, social infrastructure, employment, and medicine.

The women of the tribal civilization are fighting in the midst of this incredibly difficult environment. The entire nation is empty on the back. They do not wish to be abandoned. It should be emphasized that numerous indigenous women in our nation have already mastered the Santali language. In the ensuing days, they will serve as the tribal society's turning points. Shikha Mandi of Bengal has developed a reputation as a radio jockey in sports. In the sphere of medicine, indigenous women are also making their presence known. Anupriya Madhumita Lakra, an indigenous girl from Malkangiri, Orissa, reached the sky for the first time in September 2019. Draupadi Murmu is now the official nominee of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance for the 2022 presidential election.

In these beginning of new horizons, however, there is still a long way to go.
