This is not just a story, but a life that everyone would love to live & a reputation that everyone would love to cherish. Born on 30 Jan 1927, Professor R.D Tiwari is the epitome of sacrifice & national welfare.
He completed his MSc. in Botany from BHU & after gaining happy-go experience in various prominent institutions of the country, was appointed as Principal of Jubilee Inter College, Gorakhpur Uttar Pradesh.
He has always been an exceptional student & right from the age of 20, he used to teach needy students free of cost. His passion for teaching got developed at the very tender age of 20. As Principal, he used to pay fees for many underprivileged children so that they don't remain deprived of education. He believed that students are the real future of the nation. On their shoulder lies the hope of modern India.
He was so perfect in Biology that students willingly came to his house for tuition in the evening. He taught many students at his home but never took money from anyone. Whenever people used to point him out for this, very proudly he used to say, " The salary that I am getting as Principal of this great institution, that is more than sufficient to feed my entire family perfectly". What a true reformer indeed!
His most trusted servant used to stay with him in his own house. His son was also with him. Professor RD Tiwari fully ensured that the servant's son never participate in any kind of house cleaning activity. He always used to say, "Students are only meant to study, nothing else." What is a true educationist?
His devotion to needy people is not just limited to this. Every year he used to distribute clothes to the poor. Sometimes he used to give his own clothes, saddened by the fate of needy people while moving on the road. He used to purchase 1000 sleepers & distribute them to needy people often.
He was a firm believer in the philosophy that," Making yourself educated is not an act of preparing yourself for the job. It's an act of making yourself a part of positive social change".
