Today I want to confess that I was not good in Mathematics in my lower classes. I was studying and living with my parents in a small beautiful town of Himachal Pradesh, Nahan. My parents were often worried about me. I often heard them discussing about this issue of mine and praying to God emotionally as I was extremely bad in Mathematics.

There was a Mathematics teacher in my town whose name was Miss Neha. She was considered as one of the best teachers of Mathematics in the town during those days. Nahan was a small town where almost every one was known to each other. All people of that town were very humble and caring towards each other. My parents visited her place and requested her to teach me and few days after I started visiting at her place to study.

She taught very perfectly, explaining all the concepts in a broad way. She also taught me various shortcuts to learn crucial formula of Mathematics easily. While doing geometry and trigonometry, she made us consistently solve the numerical. She did so because she knew that Mathematics is a game of practice. The more we solve problems, more perfect we will become.

Since her home was in a colony, small children used to play around, which caused noise disturbance as we studied. And she knew that thorough study is only possible in peaceful environment. She was such a dedicated teacher that she took a separate big hall in a peaceful place in the city and started teaching us over there.

For the first time in my life I saw a teacher, who, for the betterment of students, took a room on rent, travelled every day over there from her own home, taught them for 2-3 hours and then returned back to her home. Whenever somebody asked her that why she is leaving the comfort of her home and wasting her time, very boldly she used to say, "My students are the future of the country. If due to any kind of disturbance, they are not able to study properly, I think only I will be responsible for that because I was not able to provide them a favourable environment."

This was Miss Neha, a true teacher who actually knew the importance of giving education to the children of the country and for that she was able to sacrifice all her comforts. Such teachers are really an inspiration for entire humanity and I am really blessed that once in my live, I had a teacher like that.
