I Am A Woman
I Am A Woman
I am the sail in a boat sans oar,
Oft like a wave I crash against rocky shores.
I am the first ray of the morn,
Like a beacon I guide through life's storms.
I am music in this world of noise,
Endowed with love and grace and poise,
I am the soft core of stony hearts,
The hit-mark of Cupid's darts.
I am the goddess of hearth and home,
God's finest creation, this distinction I own.
I fail and fall; rise and soar,
Crossing new heights; the horizon I explore.
I am a woman,
I am not just a body,
I am not just a face,
Judge me not for my beauty, my gait;
Harness me not to blind beliefs and faith,
Set me free; see the zenith I embrace.
