Meaning Of Love
Meaning Of Love
Do you know the meaning of this word called love?
It has a thousand synonyms; isn't it weird?
I must have felt it first before I was born
When I lay in her womb disfiguring her form.
She delivered me, no love she hid
Forgetting her pain'Me' she held and kissed.
My father too must have looked at me with pride
Tickled my little toes soothed me when I cried.
Then my toddling self they must have run after
Their joys must have dwelled in my brief laughter
The food I ate and the dress I wore
Every morsel, every fiber, showed the love for me they bore.
Then in my life, my siblings showed
How in each little heart, love glowed
My friends, they said not that me they loved
But love spoke though not in words.
I walked further with another
Ready to fly, I'd now grown feathers
Happy and content, l needed none then
As I waved everyone off, I saw love in their teardrops.
Looking back today I see that babe, that toddler,
That child, that youth
Taken care of then and thereafter
I see love in its lovely hues
Hundred times unfurled, million times felt
Though ungratefully sometimes I felt it misspelled
But Yeah! Today I know for sure
It's on the wheels of love on which our lives roll.
