I Pretend

I pretend I am okay,

I pretend I am fine,

I pretend I don't pray,

I pretend I don't have time.

But a part of me knows,

That a part of this is wrong,

That I too hit lows,

And that I ain't so strong.

I pretend I am happy,

I pretend I got no problems,

I pretend I am not lazy,

I pretend and throw tantrums.

But yes I know,

My problems are many,

And sometimes I do get stuck,

And can't solve any.

I pretend I don't give a damn,

I pretend I am busy,

I pretend I have plans,

I pretend I ain't so crazy.

But somewhere deep I know,

That I do care,

And I never show,

But sometimes, I too am a little scared.
