Village Girl
God created the first couple on earth and named them Adam and Eve or Manu and Manupatnee. They were the parents of global mankind. Now the modern mankind which we see is only their procreations. Women give birth to males as playing the role of a mother. While a male child comes of age, he marries a woman who is called a wife. While a number of male and female children are born out of a mother's womb, afterward they are related to one another as brothers and sisters. So women play various roles in human society. From time immemorial till today women have been facing a lot of hurdles in their lives in the process of evolutionary transition. Now during the present twentieth-century women are well advanced globally. But still, there are some women who are being tortured by men globally especially in the Indian subcontinent due to more superstitions, dogmatic male domination, minor marriage, etc. due to mismanagement of administration. Below is a story of a brave village girl who protected herself, his family, and neighbors from the clutch the Dacoit Gang.
Sunita, a lovely girl student of undergraduate level and the eldest daughter of a farmer couple who was living in a village named Haripur three decades ago. She was a brilliant student who joined the NCC. She was a nice girl and always was prone to take care of her younger brother and her parents. Daily she was plying to her college by riding a bicycle. After the classes were over she returns home and assist her mother in some domestic works. At 8 pm she used to start his study and finish her study at 11 pm. Whatever she was studying in three hours' time she devoted full attention to the subjects. She also gets up from bed at dawn daily. Her parents were trusting her very much. One wintry midnight she heard a knock at the door. She opened the door and a man wearing a black mask and dress entered the house with other four numbers of his followers. The gang leader showed a knife and ordered Sunita to guide them up to the treasury of the house. But she misguided the gang leader and showed him their storeroom instead deliberately. Because she wanted to have the leisure to prepare herself with necessary outfits to tackle the situation and drove out the antisocials. She was also a champion in intercollege athletic competitions. So she at first telephoned the village police station instantly and took out a dragger and a lathi from the cupboard. She spent about twenty minutes for self preparations.
In the meantime, the miscreants after searching the storeroom became desperate as they found nothing. Sunita's parents were asleep. She was stealthily marking them beside the storeroom door where she stood. The gang leader came out and a sudden strike on his head by Sunita made him unconscious. The leader fell down. Then Sunita drug out a pistol from the leader's pocket and stood silently waiting. Another robber put his foot out of the room who was also attacked by Sunita and went flat on the floor. The rest of the accomplices came out and tried to molest her. Sunita was trained and fit to tackle those ruffians. So she applied karate to make them dormant. Meanwhile, a lady police Inspector arrived with her three numbers of constables as per the information given by Sunita. The Inspector sprinkled water on the face of the leader and his accomplice who was lying by his side. After regaining consciousness the leader and other four accomplices were handcuffed by police. Sunita handed over the pistol to the Inspector. Then Inspector was very happy to see her and appreciated her highly for her outstanding bravery as a village girl. Owing to the noise created in the house the parents of Sunita woke up and rushed to the storeroom. They were amazed to see their daughter's gallantry and were praised by the Inspector for being the parents of such a brave and nice girl like Sunita. They carried the gangsters and their leader through Jeep up to the Thana. Hajat. Next, this news was spread throughout the Sarpanch and the headman of Haripur arrived at Sunita's house and met her parents. The Inspector informed the Principal of the College about Sunita's warfare. All the villagers, kith and kins, Principal and students were very glad to know it. The College principal issued an Appreciation Certificate in favor of Sunita. Since that day robbery was completely stopped in the locality as the Police Department was sensitized drastically to nab the robbers operating the surrounding area of Haripur.
