He is slowly opening his eyes. Vision is blurred and lights seem to be dim. In spite of all their efforts, he is not able to wake up. Just listening to people crying and yelling. These voices sound familiar. He is struggling hard to understand what is going on but not able to move his body even an inch. Suddenly a shadow is approaching him. Someone is asking about his health.

He realized that he is in hospital and the people crying outside is his parents.

Rajiv is not ready to accept that he is alive after jumping from the 5th floor. He was afraid to face his parents after getting failed 3rd time in the final year of the management exam. Rajiv was a free soul with creative thoughts who always treat life as a blessing. He used to sing, dance, and write. A dreamer who wants to do differently in life was forced to take management just to showcase near and dear.

Father dreaming about a future of son with a good job, high pay, settled life. Mother blessing him for successful study and career and younger siblings are hoping for a better life from an elder brother. This is a typical expectation from an elder son in a middle-class family. Rajiv has killed his dreams against happy faces. One who wants to be an innovative creature is now trying to adjust with jargons of the sophisticated fraternity but he got tired with this adjustment and lost interest in the study.

The cost of the study had eaten up the savings of his father and Rajiv was unable to cope up with the strange world. He felt escaping from the situation could be the right option but he was not lucky enough. In fact, his treatment in ICU would lead to an extra burden on the family.

He was in tears and suddenly heard a voice. "जिंदगी जीने का नाम हे, हार और जीत तो खेल का हिस्सा होते है."

His father was reading a first quote written by Rajiv. Both are trying to communicate with each other without words and water in their eyes.

After 3 months, Rajiv is now recovered and wants to start the journey of self-discovery. He doesn't know what he wants to do but surely will do which keeps his passion alive.

This is not the case in Rajiv. Many of us either passed through it or pushing our next generation for it. One should have freedom of self-discovery where he/she can choose the way of life independently.

Though the majority of us fail to understand what we want from life at least one would not have the regret of not choosing his/her way.

Closing story with below 2 lines.

"उम्र गुजर गई तुझे समझने मे, कास तुम खुद को बयान कर देती ए जिंदगी".
