Unreachable

Have you ever fell in love but the one you loved was way beyond reach. Love is like that and Jehangir was going to learn that, Jehangir was a long faced man. He was not handsome but once could he saw he was average looking. Jehangir was a frail man with a constant flu, but Jehangir was legendary in his own right as he was a scholar of great aptitude. He had managed to break the shackles of poverty and was now the chief adviser to the Nizam. But as fate would have it Jehangir fell in love.

Jehangir himself did not know how he fell in love with Dia. Dia was the brother of the witty Alam, his chief rival in the Nizam's court. Her arrival was met with great popularity and support for she had both brains and brawn and she was good looking. Dia's popularity soon began to grow and slowly but steadily overshadowed the popularity of Jehangir. All Jehangir could feel was bitterness towards her for she had stolen his popularity. 

For all that we know, Jehangir's hatred turned into love for no one knows how, not even Jehangir himself. One day he woke up and admitted that he was in love with Dia. But Jehangir had rivals in terms of contest. His best friend Shian was popular among the women of the court and he too managed to put Dia under his charm. But surprisingly, Shian was not interested in love and never cared about it. Jehangir knew that he had a competition he could not beat after all he was a man of knowledge and not a sociable person. Added to that, he was frail and not good looking. Jehangir knew he stood no chance and also knew that Dia liked Shian.

With a heavy heart and a realization that took him months to swallow, he decided it was useless to hope about it. One night, he sat on his bed and began to ponder what love was. It was then he realized that what he had was not love but an interest. He thought for some time and decided that love only happens between people who know each other well for until 2 people talk, the sparks of love will not be formed. Jehangir knew this but he also knew he could not change Dia's heart. He realized that true romances are rare and most people get stuck in the loop where the one they love is Unreachable.
