Eyes that Peer, Blankets that Protect

It was morning had Ravi had just woken from bed. Just by his side lay Surya his year old boyfriend. They had been dating for a year and had grown to become inseparable. He woke Surya from bed for he had a job and the boss would not be happy if he was late. In the city of Mumbai, it is hard to earn money to provide for yourselves. 

Ravi walked out of the house to get the milk. He noticed that slurs were written once again on the walls. Their relationship was not well accepted in the society and this did happen occasionally. Ravi made a mental note to clean and walked inside to make breakfast. While walking in, he glanced at the frowning eyes of his neighbor looking at him. 

The couple peacefully had breakfast and it was time for Surya to go to office. Surya cheerfully bid him bye. Looking at Surya's face caused Ravi to reminiscence about their lives. He concluded that no matter the eyes that peer at them, he would have a blanket to fall to and protect himself.
