True Friend
Once upon time there was a boy named Jeremy. Jeremy was a jolly boy, who liked to play baseball, swim, and make mad jumps off hefty heights. A group of bullies from his neighborhood started to pick on him and he was taking classes that tried to make him “normal.” Glumly, this attempt upset his family because it was very difficult for him to get along with others. Jeremy had a best friend, Kyra, who was oftentimes his sarcastic, funny and fabulous friend. Kyra was always there for him and was a fun buddy whenever Jeremy became too lonely.
“Jeremy, how was the first day of school?” Kyra asked his friend. He was leaning against the front door with a possible look on his face that then changed amidst a laugh.
Jeremy was smiling at Kyra's laughter and then wiped his tears. “Not so bad.” Jeremy had a blissful face.
“Did you blow up your binder?” Kyra asked him. She was smiling and smirking as he gazed at Jeremy.
Jeremy’s expression only heightened, and he began to grin. He waited there to protect her." "I " Jeremy was piecing together the contents of the cloth bag he was holding in his hand. “No, I wasn't blowing up anything, you mean," Jeremy said to her.
“Then what was that thing you were holding in your hand?” Kyra asked him. Kyra was concerned. In her eyes, there was a slight glow which Jeremy was new to.
Jeremy was quiet for a moment. He didn’t know why his friend was upset though. “It's just the leftover magic from my new fireworks, that's all!" He said to her.
“What?” Kyra asked him a strange look in his eye. She was getting worried about Jeremy and then feels that she needs to stay with him.
“Forget about it,” Jeremy said, dismissing Kyra's question.
“Hey, Jeremy, you want to go to the Batters’ Game?” Kyra asked her friend. She was now trying to be casual and understanding.
“That would be prodigious!” Jeremy said. Jeremy was now excited and then they bolted to the park to catch the first pitch.
“I love baseball!” Jeremy exclaimed... It was the truth.
While returning Jeremy once again was teased by the bullies this annoyed Kyra and she took a stand for Jeremy and supported him completely.
She added " Don't you dare tease him again or else" to the bullies
The bullies rudely responded "Or else what, will go complaining to your mommy ha ha"
Kyra affirmed "I know martial arts; I am black belt good luck facing me if you dare"
This shook the bullies, the bullies scampered away. Jeremy was grateful to Kyra and he learned how to take a stand for himself.
