The Wrong Journey

WELLINGTON, NEAR OOTY; AROUND 1:30:15 AM: 

Around 1:30:15 AM near to the Wellington Farm House of Ooty into the dark forest surrounded by huge trees, bushes, and plants, two men wearing blue suits and black pants hide inside a tunnel near to the cave of the bushes, trying to escape from someone, who is after the duo.

While hiding inside the bushes one of the guys silently tells, "If we have been alert and careful, we wouldn't be facing this kind of an embarrassing situation Akhil."

"We should have already analyzed that, we are to fight against a cruel animal, Krishna."

"We have chosen a wrong path this time da. Should have been more alert even more!"

Krishna thinks in his mind, "If we have thought twice, this wrong turn in our life could have been avoided easily."

A FEW MONTHS BACK 23.06.2017- RAMOJI RAO FILM CITY: 

A few months back, Akhil and Krishna were residing in Hyderabad for their upcoming film titled, Rebel. Akhil has written the film, based on the events of the 2013 Bangalore Serial blasts. Krishna assisted him in Cinematography and Editing respectively. Both are close friends since their childhood days and have worked together in filmmaking. They are aged around 34 years and have finished a minimum of 8 films. One in Telugu(Rebel) and other films in Tamil languages respectively.

FIVE DAYS LATER, CHENNAI: 

Having received critical acclaim for their film from international countries like Hong Kong, Norway, Russia, and the USA respectively, the guys decides to direct a film based on the horror genre and decides to reveal the same to their producer Rathnam, who wanted him to direct another film for him in the Tamil language.

The guys meet him in Chennai and tell, "Sir. We are planning to direct the next film under the horror genre, with no female leads and no songs as per your request."

"Oh. Ok. How many days of the time you needed for this?"

"Sir. We needed a time-space of two months in order to direct this horror film." The producer agrees to do so and signs them.

After looking into various places on the internet and Firefox with several analysis in Indian and Tamilnadu maps, Akhil chooses to go for Wellington near Ooty district.

Initially, Krishna is not satisfied with the location and asked Akhil, "That's a hilly location da Akhil. How could we write this story by choosing that natural scenario for our upcoming film?"

"Wellington is the best place for our upcoming story da," Akhil said to him. After a while of thinking, Krishna agrees and they both go for Ooty in their Honda City car from Chennai at 12:30 AM.

They reach Ooty by 6:30 PM and manages to take a shelter in Wellington resort, that's surrounded by forests on either of the sides with huge trees and bushes, with hill ranges of Nilgris to the eastern side.

A FEW HOURS LATER, 8:45 PM: 

After refreshing themselves in the house, Akhil and Krishna start to sit ablaze and discuss a story, that could be best for their horror genre.

"Krishna. You have any idea for this?"

"Akhil. What if the story is like this?" He asked him and starts to narrate the story of four friends, who enter a dark forest for research work and picturization of the place. Further telling, how they face obstacles in the place and how the guys overcome the issues!

Akhil shuns down the storytelling, "We shouldn't have any female lead or romance track da. But, you have included these things in this story da. This story should happen within one day period of time, that too during night times."

Krishna blinks and decides to think about the story along with Akhil. The duo sleeps on the sofa itself, thinking about the same.

THIRTY MINUTES LATER, 9:15 PM: 

Thirty minutes later, a phone call rings in Akhil's phone. He answers the call with his eyes half-opened and asks, "Yes. Who is this man?" His voice showcases how tired and sleepy is he.

"Hey. I am your close friend Amritha da. Didn't you remember?"

"Oh, yes Amritha. How are you? I was sleeping. That's why I forgot and didn't recognize your voice. What suddenly you have called me?"

"I wanted to meet you after a long while da, buddy. That's why I have called you. Where are you now?"

"I have come for a trip to Wellington, near Ooty Amritha."

"Oh! I too have come for Ooty buddy. I will come today, if there's time" to which, Akhil agreed.

A FEW HOURS LATER, 10:35 PM: 

A few hours later around 10:35 PM, Krishna brings wine for having a drink with Akhil. The latter asked him, "What is this da?"

"Wine, buddy. A very expensive one. Got it while we were arriving from Chennai." Krishna said.

Since Akhil madly loved drinking, he agreed to and they both takes up a glass from the kitchen and cleans the floor and table respectively nearly for an hour.

1 HOUR LATER, 11:35 PM: 

One hour later, the two guys sit to sip their first drink of wine. The guys told, "Cheers!" by sharing the glass and were about to drink the wine.

At that time, Amritha arrives at their resort and walks to the place by crossing the trees and bushes. When she was about to go inside the house for meeting the guys, she witnesses a man, wearing a black mask with sweaters to evade the chillness. He approached her with a knife in his left hand.

The man tries to capture her by pointing his knife towards her. But, she outsmarts him and escaped the place towards Akhil's house. Angered, the man continues to chase her. She runs shouting for help by saying, "Someone help, please. Help, please...Help..."

However, nothing is heard in and around the place. Because, it's dark, being surrounded by forests and bushes respectively. Akhil and Krishna too didn't hear anything properly, due to the snowfall and winds, which makes them think that it's just a nightmare.

In addition, Akhil suffers from nyctophobia since their childhood days, which he has hidden from everyone. Whenever he goes outside at night period, he always gets the sense of trouble and fear in his mind. Still, now, he has the same disorder.

The man then captures Amritha and drags her mercilessly to an abandoned building, near the same resort. There, Amritha is left in the bed.

Her face sweats out of fear, with silent tears flowing from her eyes like Yamuna River. Her heartbeat fastens with a few sounds of fear in her throat. She begged the man, "Please. Please don't do anything."

"I am sorry baby. If I have got mercy and compassion towards other people, I could have considered your plea. But, I am out for lust. Let me satisfy my psychotic list at first. Then, let me think about leaving you."

He opens his face mask and continues to undo his dresses. In the aftermath of this, he takes an injection and takes it near to Amritha.

"Please. Please don't do anything. I beg you." He mercilessly gives her sedation through that injection, after which she faints. Like a hungry Lion, he proceeds to remove her sari and makes her nude. With his lustful eyes and deadly smile, he brutally rapes her by kissing her all over the body(nose, leg, hand, breast, and chest).

Having satisfied his lust, he leaves a hot breath of satisfaction and tells his victim, "Thank you so much, baby. You have given me a pleasant night by co-operating with me for one sleep. Even when you are unconscious, you are so beautiful, dear." He said to her by touching her cheeks. When touching her cheek, he again gets tempted with her and vigorously he kisses her lips. Then, he continues to rape her, until he becomes tired of it.

And a ray of his childhood past reminds off in his mind. After the past intervenes him, he goes into a full range of anger with his chuckled teeth and red eyes telling, "I never spare anyone, who spurned and insulted me." He brutally slits her throat once she has gained her consciousness, back.

In the aftermath of this, he tells: "I love to have sex with women. But, I don't wish to spare them, even after satisfying my desire. I am sorry baby! I really felt happier that you have become another sacrificial goat in my search for lust!" He terribly laughs and gives an evil gesture of smile, with a gloomy face and terrible-looking eyes. To show his thanks note, he hugs her nude body.

AROUND 11:45 PM, IN KRISHNA'S HOUSE: 

Around 11:45 PM, Akhil suddenly reminds of Amritha's phone call and he suddenly stops his fourth drink of wine. He asked Krishna: "Buddy. Where is Amrithha da? Did she called you or not?"

"No buddy. She didn't call me. She told me that she would come by today's midnight right?"

"However, she has not come here even now da buddy!" Akhil calls Amritha through his phone, which gets noticed by the rapist. He takes up the phone and answers.

Reminding of her voice, he tells Akhil: "Tell me Akhil." As he knows voice mimicry, he has managed to speak in Amritha's voice.

"You have told me that, you would come to our resort by 11:50 PM. But, the time is now 12:30 AM, Amritha. What happened?"

He tells them, "Ok. I would come there within few minutes" in the voice of Amritha. The rapist decides to make the two guys his another victim, in order to avoid complications and further issues.

He proceeds to reach the resort successfully, where he taps the door by standing outside. Krishna and Akhil stand up from their bed and proceeds to move out in order to open the door. While moving, Krishna opens the window beside and notices the rapist.

"Buddy. See there da. It's not Amritha. It's some other guy. He has a knife and gun, inside his pocket. See there!" He said to Akhil, who notices the same things and starts to fear terribly.

He starts to sweat and his hands shivered a lot, having seen the murderer. Akhil shouts in fear and starts to run inside the house here and there. When asked by Krishna, he reveals his Nyctophobia disorder since childhood days and tells that, "He fears while going in night times."

Krishna initially becomes angered and berates his beloved friend for hiding this fact, since their time of the meeting. Later, he consoles himself and motivates Akhil to be brave and bold.

The guys conspire on a plan to escape from the place. Meanwhile, the serial killer quickly deduces that "The guys could have learned or doubted about him" and decides to be alert. To avoid them escaping from the dark forestry, he punctures the bike, through which they have traveled here. Because they have left the car in one of their friend's houses near Dottabetta. While they have taken the bike in order to experience the adventure.

With the help of the back door, he sneaks into the resort, after the duo searches for a way to escape by going in and around the sites. He shoots their photos by hiding on a table and escapes from there.

12:15 AM: 

By 12:15 AM, the two get a message of their photos from Amritha's mobile phone, which has been kept by the rapist. They realize that someone is stalking and tries to call the police. But, this plan failed eventually.

Because the rapist has deduced this and henceforth, cuts the power supply nearby the resort, after killing the guards inside the power generator room. In order to avoid getting caught in the CCTV camera footage, which rolls all over the resorts, he covers his face with a black mask.

Inside the house, Krishna asked Akhil: "Then, what could have happened to Amritha da? How did he get her phone?"

"That only I am unable to understand Krishna. How did he get her phone? Then, what could have happened for Amritha da?"

"Don't panic Akhil. I think something is mysterious. Let's wait and see."

Around 12:25 AM, the serial killer taunts the guys with Amritha's corpse. The duo notices Amritha's nude body and finally realized that "She has been raped brutally and thus, becoming another victim of a psychotic serial killer."

To escape the place and in order distract him, Akhil comes up with a plan to outsmart him and discussed it with Krishna, who agrees to do so and they take their bike keys. They trigger the bike alarm and attempts to escape from the second-story window.

This time, the two guys have planned to act bravely and attack the killer as an act of self-defense if he tried to attack them. Seeing the two guys running, the murderer chases the two angrily.

When he nearly comes up to kill them with his sword, Krishna uses his martial arts skills and manages to throw him off away, ranging over two meters. They continue to run from the resort, some two kilometers.

However, the killer continues to chase them, and seeing him coming with a ferocious look, the guys search for someplace to hide. They find out the tunnel behind the bushes and proceeds to hide inside that, by 1:30 AM.

AT PRESENT, 2:00 AM- 

At present, the two guys are still hiding inside the tunnel. While the murderer looks for them nearby to the tunnel and the near to dear places. After ensuring that, they could be safer, Krishna and Akhil put a mail using his phone about the serial killer and his description. Further puts a message to the Film Directors and Producers councils respectively.

In the aftermath of this, Akhil tells Krishna: "Krishna. That killer would either catch us or would kill us to death."

"So, what should we do in order to defend ourselves da?"

"To kill the man."

Krishna refuses this and fears the consequences of the judiciary. Akhil replies telling him, "Are you senseless da buddy? He is a psychotic killer. He neither shows mercy nor compassion. In addition, he won't even attempt his act of mistakes too. To avoid problems and for the sake of publicity, he would kill us too. For our safety, let's kill him and meet the court of law, later on."

Krishna half-heartedly agrees by shaking his head. He goes along with Akhil from the tunnel. As they are looking around to escape from the place by walking through the forestry, Krishna realizes that "the murderer have spotted their location" after noticing his inadvertent breathing, against the latter's neck. They narrowly avoid his attack and bravely fight off the serial killer.

However, the killer retaliates and to the surprise of the two, starts to do a Kung-fu attack against the guys. The guy realizes his strong training in the field of martial arts. They, however, manage to attack him and grabs his knife.

After getting a message of alert from Akhil's eyes, Krishna holds the killer tight. However, he gets pushed by the killer. Then, the killer tries to strangle Akhil. But, the latter pushes him asides and stabs him multiple times.

While stabbing, Akhil remembers the reminiscence of Amritha's face and her gory death in the hands of the serial killer. Having seen the serial killer's brutal death, a reflection of Amritha smiles and disappeared around the sky.

THREE HOURS LATER, 5:00 AM: 

Three hours later, the two guys are dropped back to their friend's house safely. Officers leave back from the place, after asking the two to be careful. Before escaping the place, they recalled what happened after the murderer died.

A FEW HOURS BACK, 3:30 AM: 

Having killed the serial killer as an act of self-defense, Akhil retrieves Amritha's cell phone from his body and he calls 112 ambulances, who comes along with the police and forensic department to the forestry, by 4:25 AM. Police take Amritha and the killer's dead body. From the serial killer's phone, they felt shocked to know that, "He had been a doctor and spoiled the lives of several women and girls children due to a tragic past and impact, that have hit him. It shattered his whole life."

The police let Akhil and Krishna go off without any charges against them. Because they have done this as an act of self-defense. The guys are dropped by the police officers back to their house, having learned that their bike had been punctured by the killer.

PRESENT, 5:20 AM: 

At present, Akhil and Krishna take out their Honda City car in Dottabetta after informing their friend. While starting the car, producer Rathnam calls Akhil and asked him, "Akhil. Is everything okay? Are you both safe ah?"

"Yes sir. We are in the safer zone. And one good news sir."

"What is that da?"

"Without spending the time period of two months, we have got a good horror film to direct, without any female lead sir."

The producer analyzed from the answers of Akhil that, "He is planning to direct the film, based on the today events."

"Okay. What's the name of this film? I meant to ask you, which name is suitable for this story?"

"The title of this story is Wrong Journey, sir." The producer feels elated with the film's title and hangs off the call after asking Akhil to meet him, once he is back to Chennai. The latter agrees to do so.

Hearing this, Krishna gets shocked and asked Akhil, "Why this title da?"

"Because I chose the wrong place for our story da. Additionally, I failed to understand the consequences of this journey. We have got a turning point, this time actually."

"I am unable to understand. What are you coming to say da?"

"I meant to tell you that, we have chosen a wrong journey due to fate." Krishna realizes that, "Akhil meant Amritha's terrible death as the incident, which changed their journey to the wrong path.

He smiles and holds his hands as a symbol to console him for Amritha's death. After a few minutes of smiles and gestures, Akhil continues to drive his car faster. Because Ooty-Kothagiri road is yet to arrive.
