Betal began his story...

"It was the darkest night ever. The rain was pouring with all its strength and thunder created an atmosphere of haunted thrill when Adi found his car stopped in the middle of the road. Helplessly looking here and there Adi got nobody who can help him out. Suddenly he saw a car coming very slowly towards him.

Without wasting a moment he opened the back door and sat hurriedly saying, "let's go". To his greatest surprise, none was there inside. But the car was moving continuously. His mouth dried up and he could speak not at all a single word. Neither he could get out of his seat nor could he call anyone for help.

On the turning, the car turned and Adi could see a long hand holding the door from outside. Adi felt as if he will die out of fear.

Biy suddenly he could see some lights in the distance. Yes, it was the petrol pump near. When the car reached near the petrol pump, Adi with all his efforts jumped out of the car and ran straight to the water tap.

Washed his face and drank a bottle of water in one sigh. When he turned to look at the car; he saw a person trying to sit in.

With a scream, he ran near him and cried," Don't sit in this car. It's haunted. Ghost controlled."

When the man asked how he knew, Adi said his experience and after hearing this the man slapped Adi."

Betal stopped the story here and asked King Vikramaditya to answer it, if not his head will break into pieces.

Vikramaditya answered, "The man who slapped Adi was actually the owner of the said car who was pushing it to the petrol pump as the car lacked fuel to run. In the middle way when Adi entered the car, the man could feel the weight and with great difficulties, he brought it to the destination. So when he came to knew about Adi, he slapped.

"You are right King. But you broke the promise to keep quiet. I am going" said the Vetal laughing loudly and went to the Banyan tree, his age-old shelter.
