Tenali Rama was very unhappy to hear that the chief priest was going to have a big arrangement for Tenali's mother's death anniversary. Tenali's wife was so excited about this. She also believed that her mother-in-law's spirit will be glad if she listens to the pandits.

The chief priest made everyone believe that the precious gifts which should be given to them are going to be directly received by the departed soul.

Tenali could know the intention of the learned pandits and just to make them realize their mistake and to prevent them from cheating others; he said that the supreme soul came in his dreams and wanted to repent for a mistake it did when alive.

To get rid of that guilt, the soul wants that the pandits should be beaten so that the soul can get Salvation.

The priest got that point and learned a lesson from this.

After hearing the story of Tenali from his mother; the young boy learned the lesson to believe anything after fully examining it and to be safe from being cheated.
