The Promise

A man was running away from a few men with a gun shooting at them while running across the forest rustling through branches and stomping on the dead leaves fallen on the ground. He takes cover behind a tree looking at his gun trying to figure out how many bullets are left. Panting, he counts 6 bullets and lets out a sigh of disappointment. 

"Alright Raman, six bullets and nine men out there, if only there were a way to get one of their guns", he thinks to himself as he peeps and takes a shot with the men ducking out of the way of the bullet. They close in on him. He runs towards one of the men tackling him to the ground taking his handgun and rolls on the ground away from him as he continues running. He then goes down a small slope and spots a boulder where he hides.

Henchman 1: "Where did he go? Did you spot him anywhere?"

Henchman 2: "There are a few boulders here, circle around, surround him, he must not escape, the boss will not spare us."

A henchman gets closer to Raman. He spots the man approaching and gets around the boulder till the henchman gets closer. Alfie then punches him in the throat, grabs his head and hits him against the boulder. He hears a gun cock behind him.

Henchman 4: "Alright Raman, time's up, it's time to wake up."

Raman: "Wake up? What the hell are you talking about?"

The henchman's voice turns to a woman's voice. Alfie slowly opens his eyes spotting his mom shaking him to wake him up to reality.

Chetna: "Wake up Raman, you're getting late for your first day at college."

Raman: "5 more minutes mom, it's too soon."

Mom: "Too soon? Probably too soon for the next day, just get up already or else you will be thrown out of class on your first day."

Raman steps out of bed and heads to the washroom with a towel. After 20 minutes, he steps out, heads to his room to put on clothes checking out his skinny self thinking to himself, "Someday, I am going to look like how I was in the dream, like Thor Odinson." He puts on clothes, grabs his bag and heads to the dining table with his breakfast waiting for him. He quickly eats it up and drinks his milk. He takes his medicines and heads out.

Raman: "Bye mom, see you soon."

He heads downstairs towards his 2 wheeler scooter and heads towards the nearest station to board the local train. He parks his scooter nearby and gets in line for a ticket with 10 bucks in his hand.

Raman: "Ek Churchgate return (One return ticket to Churchgate, please)."

The person on the counter takes the money and hands the ticket to him as he boards the train. Getting down at his station he heads for the exit with earphones in his ears and music blasting in his ears. He heads towards his college and gets inside his class.
