Part 2:

She felt as if the wind was howling in the most pleasant manner today as if it was singing a love hymn. Her long black hair with the mixed shade of amber fell in loose past her shoulders towards her waist. She wore a black long gown and a black stiletto. He appeared with his most charming smile and the pupils of his dark brown eyes splashed with gold-like beach pebbles, dressed in a causal shamrock green shirt, off white trousers and high ankle boot he swayed her heart when she realized how beautiful he was, maybe she never noticed his manliness before. Inside the coffee house, they sat down at a two-seater in the corner where he took off his shades.

She looked away, nervous and so was he. The air was humid inside and they both were slowly feeling the rise of temperature, outside due to humidity and inside due to nervousness. Nivedita couldn’t bear it more so she tied her long hair rolling it up when Joey looked at her with his dark puppy eyes and said, “Let it fall girl”, her heart almost popped out when he winked at her.

“You can’t even look at me,” he laughed. “You’re blushing!”

“You’re mistaken, that’s my rouge...” She opened her heart, even more, when he sat there chuckling, when she caught his eye she didn’t know what to do so she started laughing like an innocent child, loud and continuing, she laughed her heart out that very moment after a long time. Love was all in the air and she could feel it. Suddenly he opened his mouth to say, "Nivedita you are beautiful as if the moon is radiating its light all over you, your charm is so alluring and your smile is a ray of sunshine. Don’t lose this charm, I just want to see you happy”. His lips brushed her ear as he spoke, “I love you”.

There was something about the way he spoke, the way butterflies seemed to escape from the pit of his mouth and the way the sun had somehow collapsed down from the sky and found a way to make a home right there in her heart. He had the kind of magnetism that made her feel happy to be alive and more human. She has never met anyone in life whose words dripped like honey, however deep in her heart she was petrified with a thought when she compared herself with the story of a flower and a honeybee. What if he turned out to be that honeybee who hovers around different flowers and sucks the love out of one and then moves on to the next abandoning the grim flower perplexed. She fictitiously hit her head for ruining the moment with her insecurities and turned back to look at Joey with a bright big smile. His face was still bright and not for a moment had he stopped smiling.

Suddenly... he wrapped his large rough hands against her small soft hands, he had impossibly enormous hands and her petite hands almost vanished inside his, a smile painted their face accompanied by hilarity. His body was warm and she could feel his hands shaking, “Are you nervous?” she asked clearly trying to hide her own, "Naahh…" he exclaimed trying to be strong enough and hide his temptation. Nevedita could feel Joey’s hands boiling as if he is running with a very high temperature, worriedly she reached out to feel his forehead, “Are you in fever?”, she asked apprehensively. He lifted her hands saying, “Oh I am hot” and winked again. “What a flirty young fellow he is”, she mimicked inside her heart and smiled a victory. There was a joy in the moment, she was happily absorbed by a feeling of love that played in his subtle smile and soft gaze. In this very moment, she could see every day of her future and wanted to stay and live a part of it. More than anything she has ever wanted for this new relationship to be something that could sail safely without hitting the storm.

Nivedita gazes at him over Joey’s glass as he sips his shake, knowing that he is watching her in return, she then reaches her own and explores the juice into her mouth, he grins and takes a large sip and she offers him a substantial pout. The day was about to end, it was time to leave, Nivedita started to feel as if she was carrying a burden in her heart, only because she didn’t want this moment to end. They reached Joey’s car and got seated on the back seat just to have a goodbye conversation. While they were deeply involved in their conversation Joey slightly slipped his hand on Nivedita’s shoulder, without his much effort she leaned her head on his shoulders and they locked their fingers as if they could stop the time at that very moment. The sun was setting behind their back and the darkness was slowly spreading its blanket. Nivedita felt an ache on her stomach and sadness nestled in the crease of her palms, with just an imagination that she needs to leave now.

She looked at Joey in his eyes and murmured in her heart, “You came into my life like a flashbulb, sudden and bright, don’t you leave like a thunder”. “Why me Joey?” she suddenly questioned, her fingers circling his palms as if she is trying to connect with some dots, a dot that could bond her to his heart and she could play a peekaboo inside and find the answers all by herself. “How could I not? You are a woman to be loved, Nevi.” He replied, cupping her cheeks so her beautiful eyes could meet his, a soft kiss immediately landed on her cheeks like a feather and she immediately responded to it. Within a second she dragged herself out of it as if she had been into a heinous crime, a sin that is unforgivable, tears were making space at the corner of her eyes she didn't know why unaware if Joey noticed that or not. Maybe she wants to get loved but still fears of falling for someone, maybe she fears betrayal. She then responded with a heavy voice. I must leave and open the door of the car and step out of it. Joey was silent, he didn't know how to respond. He felt as if he shouldn’t have done that and he was equally punishable in this criminal act, however, he followed Nivedita till she reached to catch her cab and with a warm hug he waved her goodbye.
