ACT I
[Once upon a time, there was a family who had lived in Chennai City for many years. The family had five members: Raju (father), Lakshmi (mother), Preeti (younger daughter), Raja (elder son), and Ram (younger son).]
[During the night time]

Scene I

[All the family members were sitting together at the dining table for dinner.]

Raju: Hello, everyone.

Raja: Hello, Dad.

Raju: How are you all?

Preeti: We are fine.

[Lakshmi is preparing dinner for everyone in the kitchen.]

Raju: Lakshmi, bring the dinner quickly.

Lakshmi: Yes, I am coming. Wait for a few minutes.

Preeti: Mom, I am very hungry.

Ram: Yes, Mom, I am also very hungry.

Raja: I can’t control my hunger anymore.

[After a few minutes, Lakshmi brings the dinner to the table.]

Lakshmi: Dinner is ready.

Ram: Bring it fast. Wow! It looks delicious.

Preeti: Dad, don’t waste time. Let’s start eating.

Raju: Yes. Let’s begin.

Lakshmi: Not now. First, all of you pray to God, and then start dinner.

Raja: Yes, Mom is right.

[After dinner]

Raju: Now dinner is finished.

Ram: Yes, let’s go to sleep.

Raja: It is very late now.

Preeti: Good night, everyone.

Lakshmi: All of you go to the bedroom and sleep. I will come after finishing the work in the kitchen.

Raju: Okay, let’s go to sleep.

Preeti: Good night, Mom.

Lakshmi: Good night.

[Lakshmi goes to the kitchen to finish her work.]



Scene II

[Next morning]

Raju: Wake up, all of you. It is morning now.

Ram: Please, Dad, let me sleep for a few more minutes.

Preeti: Dad, please don’t disturb us.

Raja: We like to sleep in the morning, Dad.

Raju: Okay, but wake up after five minutes.

[Then Raju goes to the washroom to brush and freshen up.]

Lakshmi: Raju, have you woken up?

Raju: Yes.

Lakshmi: What happened, Raju?

Raju: I don’t know what has happened to our children. They wake up very late in the morning.

Lakshmi: Don’t worry, Raju. They are still small. That is why they sleep late. When they grow up, they will wake up early.

Raju: Okay.

Lakshmi: I have already prepared breakfast. Shall I bring it?

Raju: Yes, bring it quickly. I am getting very late for work.

Lakshmi: Okay, wait for a few minutes.


ACT II

[Ram, Raja, and Preeti wake up from their beds.]

Scene I

Ram: Good morning, everyone.

Raja: Good morning, Ram.

Preeti: Good morning, Ram and Raja.

Ram: Good morning, Preeti.

[The three of them go downstairs. Raju is sitting at the table having breakfast with his wife Lakshmi.]

Ram: Good morning, Mom and Dad.

Lakshmi: Good morning, Ram.

[Both Preeti and Raja also come together.]

Preeti: Good morning, Dad.

Raja: Good morning, Mom.


Scene II

[Raju gets ready for work.]

Raju: Okay, children, I am going to work. Take care.

Lakshmi: Go carefully, Raju.

Preeti: Dad, tomorrow is my birthday.

Raju: I know, dear. Tomorrow I will bring a gift for you.

Preeti: Really, Dad?

Raju: Yes, dear.

Preeti: I love you, Dad.

Raju: I love you too, dear.

[Later that night, Raju returns home at midnight.]

Lakshmi: Have you come very late today?
Raju: Yes, there was some extra work at the office.

Lakshmi: Okay. Shall I serve dinner for you?

Raju: Yes. I am very tired. After dinner, I will go directly to sleep.

Lakshmi: Okay. Go to the washroom and wash your hands. I will serve dinner on the table.

Raju: Okay. I am going to wash my face and hands.

[Then Raju goes to the washroom to wash his hands and face.]


Scene III

[Raju comes out of the washroom and sits at the table for dinner.]

Lakshmi: Dinner is ready.

Raju: Bring it quickly. I am very hungry.

Lakshmi: Raju, do you remember that tomorrow is Preeti’s birthday?

Raju: Yes, I remember. Tomorrow I will come home early.

Lakshmi: Okay. After dinner, go to the bedroom and sleep peacefully without any stress.

Raju: Okay. Good night.

Lakshmi: Good night. Sleep well.

[After dinner, Raju goes to his bedroom to sleep.]



ACT III

[Next morning. Raju wakes up early.]

Scene I

Lakshmi: Good morning, Raju.

Raju: Good morning, Lakshmi.

Lakshmi: Did you sleep well?

Raju: Yes.

[Preeti comes down from her room.]

Preeti: Good morning, Dad.

Raju: Good morning, dear.

Preeti: Dad, today is my birthday.

Raju: I know, dear. Wish you a very happy birthday.

Preeti: Thank you, Dad.

Raju: Where are Raja and Ram?

Lakshmi: Both of them went outside to play.

Raju: Okay.

Preeti: Dad, don’t forget to bring a gift for me.

Raju: Sure, dear. I will not forget.

Preeti: Bye, Dad.

Raju: Bye.

[Raju leaves for work.]



Scene II

[It is evening time. Raju reaches home.]

Raju: Lakshmi, open the door.

Lakshmi: I am coming, Raju.

[Raju enters the house.]

Lakshmi: Raju, you came home so early today.

Raju: Yes, today is Preeti’s birthday.

Lakshmi: Oh, you remembered Preeti’s birthday.

Raju: Yes, I remembered her birthday, and I brought a gift for her.

Lakshmi: Good.

Raju: Let’s get ready for the birthday celebration.

[All of them gather together for the birthday celebration.]


ACT IV

[After the birthday celebration]

Scene I

Lakshmi: Happy Birthday, Preeti.

Preeti: Thank you, Mom.

Ram: This is your gift, Preeti.

Preeti: What is inside the gift?

Ram: You check it.

Preeti: Okay. Wow! It’s a beautiful ring. Thank you, Ram.

Ram: You are welcome.

Raja: Happy Birthday, Preeti. This is my gift for you.

Preeti: Thank you, Raja. Let me check it.
 What did you bring for me?

Raja: Okay, check it.

Preeti: Wow! Such a beautiful dress. Thank you so much.

[Raju gives a gift to Preeti.]

Preeti: Dad, didn’t you bring a gift for me?

Raju: Yes, dear. I brought a gift for you.

Preeti: Where is it?

Raju: Wait. Just close your eyes.

Preeti: Okay.

Raju: Now open your eyes.

Preeti: Wow! Such a cute toy boy doll.

Raju: Preeti, do you like it?

Preeti: Of course, I like it. It is so beautiful.

[All of them enjoy the celebration. After the celebration, everyone goes to their rooms to sleep.]


Scene II

[During midnight]

Lakshmi: Today Preeti was so happy.

Raju: Yes.

Ram: How is the toy boy doll, Preeti?

Preeti: It is so beautiful.

Raja: Preeti, you can keep it on the table while sleeping.

Preeti: No, I will sleep with him.

Ram: Okay, sleep together. Good night.

Raja: Good night, Preeti.

Preeti: Good night.


Scene III

[Next morning. Preeti comes downstairs holding the doll in her hands.]

Preeti: Good morning, Dad and Mom.

Raju: Good morning, dear.

Lakshmi: Preeti, you are still carrying the doll in your hands.

Preeti: Yes, Mom. I like this doll very much.

Lakshmi: Preeti, please keep the doll inside your room.

Preeti: No. This toy boy doll will stay with me, not in my room.

Raju: Okay, let her keep it with her.

Lakshmi: But, Raju

Raju: Don’t worry, Lakshmi. She likes the doll very much.

Lakshmi: Okay, fine.

[Raju leaves for work.]




ACT V

[Raju reaches home during midnight.]

Scene I

Lakshmi: Raju, have you come very late today?

Raju: Yes, there was some extra work at the office.

Lakshmi: Okay. Shall I serve dinner for you?

Raju: No, I am not hungry now.

Lakshmi: What happened, Raju?

Raju: Nothing. I am okay. I am just feeling tired now.

Lakshmi: Okay.

Raju: Where are the children?

Lakshmi: They already had dinner and went to sleep.

Raju: Okay. I am also going to sleep.

Lakshmi: I am also coming after completing the kitchen work.


Scene II

[It is midnight. Preeti is sleeping on the bed with the toy boy doll beside her.]

Preeti: You are in my heart. I can’t leave you alone. Good night, my little doll.

[Suddenly, Preeti hears a mysterious sound.
 She wakes up and notices that the doll is missing from the bed.]

Preeti: What was that sound?

Oh no! Where is my doll?

[Preeti tries to wake up her brother while he is sleeping.]

Preeti: I need to call my brother for help.
 Ram, wake up quickly!

Ram: What happened, Preeti?

Preeti: I heard some strange sounds. My toy boy doll is not on my bed.

Ram: Please, Preeti, let me sleep.

Preeti: Oh no, nobody is waking up. What should I do now?

Let me go downstairs and check.


Scene III

[Preeti takes a torchlight in her hand and goes downstairs to check the strange sound.]

[Suddenly, someone touches her shoulder from behind.]

Preeti: Who’s there?

Raju: It’s me, Preeti.

Preeti: Oh, Dad!

Raju: Why are you so scared?

Preeti: Nothing, Dad. But what are you doing here?

Raju: I came to drink some water.

Preeti: Okay. Dad, I heard something in my room, and my doll is not on the bed.

Raju: What? I think you just saw a bad dream.

Preeti: No, Dad. I am telling the truth.

Raju: Okay, let’s go to your room and check it.

Preeti: Okay. Come, Dad.

[Both of them go to Preeti’s room to search for the doll.]


Scene IV

[Both of them enter the room together.]

Raju: Preeti, look. Your doll is on the bed.

Preeti: But Dad, I saw that the doll was not there on my bed.

Raju: Listen, Preeti. I think you just had a bad dream.

Preeti: Maybe.

Raju: Don’t worry, dear. Sleep well.

Preeti: Okay, Dad. Good night.

Raju: Good night, dear.

[Raju goes out of Preeti’s room.]





ACT VI

[Next morning]

Scene I

[Raju is sitting at the table drinking tea. Preeti comes to him and sits near the table.]

Preeti: Good morning, Dad.

Raju: Good morning, Preeti.

Preeti: How are you, Dad?

Raju: I am fine. First of all, tell me  did you sleep well last night?

Preeti: Yes, Dad. But I am telling the truth. The doll was not on my bed.

Raju: Preeti, are you still thinking about last night?

Preeti: Dad, please believe me.


Scene II

[Lakshmi comes to the table.]

Lakshmi: What happened to both of you?

Raju: Preeti says that she heard a mysterious sound last night and that the doll was not on her bed.

Lakshmi: What?

Raju: I also told her that it was just a bad dream, but she is not listening to me.

Preeti: Mom and Dad, please believe me.
[After a few hours, Ram and Raja also come downstairs.]

Ram: Good morning, Dad.

Lakshmi: Good morning, Ram.

Ram: Mom, bring breakfast. I am very hungry.

Lakshmi: Sure. Raja, you also sit for breakfast.

Raja: Yes, Mom.

Ram: What happened, Preeti?

Raja: Yes, why are you looking so sad?

Raju: She heard some mysterious sounds last night.

Raja: Oh, really?

Preeti: Yes. Last night I tried to wake up Ram, but he did not wake up at all.

Ram: Sorry, Preeti. I was in a very deep sleep, that’s why I didn’t wake up.


Scene III

[It is midnight time.]

Lakshmi: Dinner is ready.

Raju: We are coming.

Preeti: Dad, I am very scared about tonight.

Raju: Don’t worry, dear.

Preeti: I don’t know what will happen tonight.

Ram: Mom, I am very hungry.

Raju: Ram, go and wash your hands, then sit for dinner.

Ram: Sure, Dad.

Raja: Dad, I have already washed my hands.
Raju: Good.

[Then all of them start having dinner together. After dinner, everyone goes to their rooms to sleep.]

Ram: I am going to sleep.

Raja: I am also going to sleep.

Preeti: Okay, let’s go and sleep now. But I will not keep the toy boy doll on my bed tonight.

Ram: But why?.

Preeti: Please, I don’t want to talk now. Good night.



Scene IV
[During midnight, Preeti once again hears a mysterious sound.]

Preeti: It’s the same mysterious sound that I heard last night.

[Then Ram wakes up on the bed.]

Ram: Preeti, what happened?

Preeti: Nothing, Ram.

Ram: No, no. You are hiding something from me. Tell me what happened.

Preeti: I heard the same mysterious sound again.

Ram: But I didn’t hear any mysterious sound.
[Suddenly, both Preeti and Ram hear a strange laughing sound.]

Ram: Yes, I think someone is laughing .

Preeti: What should we do now?

Ram: Let’s go and check it.

Preeti: Sorry, Ram. I will not come with you.

Ram: But why?

Preeti: I am very scared now.

Ram: Don’t worry, Preeti. I am with you.




ACT VII

[Both Ram and Preeti go downstairs with a torchlight to check the strange sound.]

Scene I

Preeti: Ram, it is so dark.

Ram: Don’t worry. I have a torchlight with me.

Preeti: Ram, it feels very scary in the dark.

Ram: Don’t worry. I am with you.

[Preeti suddenly sees something sitting on a chair.]

Preeti: Ram, something is sitting on the chair.

Ram: Who is sitting on the chair?

Preeti: I don’t know.

Ram: Let’s go and check it.

Preeti: No, it is very dangerous.

Ram: Don’t worry, Preeti.

[Both of them slowly walk near the chair.]

Ram: Preeti, it is your toy boy doll.

Preeti: What?

Ram: Yes, come and see.

Preeti: But I don’t understand how the toy boy doll came onto this chair.

Ram: What do you mean?

Preeti: I mean, Ram, I already kept the toy boy doll inside my room.

[While both of them are talking, suddenly the toy boy doll stabs Ram with a knife. Ram falls onto the floor and dies on the spot.]



Scene II

[Preeti runs away from that place and goes to her parents’ bedroom.]

Preeti: Dad, please open the door!

Lakshmi: What happened to her?

Raju: What?

Lakshmi: Preeti is calling out in fear.

Raju: Go and open the door.

Lakshmi: Yes.

[Lakshmi opens the door.]

Lakshmi: What happened, Preeti?

Preeti: Mom and Dad, please do something!

Raju: But what happened, dear?

Preeti: Dad, Ram has died.

Raju: What?

Lakshmi: What are you saying?

Preeti: Yes, Mom. I am telling the truth.

Raju: But how did it happen?

Preeti: Dad, I told you that I heard mysterious sounds last night.

Raju: Yes.

Preeti: I heard the same mysterious sound again tonight. Then Ram woke up, and we decided to go downstairs to check it. We saw someone sitting on the chair, but we could not clearly see the face. After that, we went near the chair and saw that the toy boy doll was sitting there with a smile on its face. Suddenly, the toy boy doll stabbed Ram with a knife. Then Ram fell onto the floor covered in blood.

Lakshmi: Where is he now?

Preeti: He is lying on the floor covered in blood.

Raju: Don’t waste time. Let’s go quickly.

[Then Preeti, Lakshmi, and Raju run downstairs to see Ram.]



Scene III

[All of them reach downstairs.]

Preeti: Mom and Dad, look! Ram is lying there on the floor.

Raju: Ram, please open your eyes.

Lakshmi: What happened to my son?

Preeti: Mom and Dad, please don’t cry. Ram has already died. He will not come back again.

[Raja also comes downstairs after hearing the noise.]

Raja: Mom and Dad, what happened?

Lakshmi: Dear, your brother has died.

Raja: No, Mom. You are telling a lie.

Raju: Yes, dear. Your mother is telling the truth. Ram has died. Look, he is lying on the floor.

Raja: Ram, wake up. You can’t leave us like this.

[After Ram’s death, everyone becomes very sad and emotional, with tears in their eyes.]



ACT VIII

[Suddenly, Preeti hears another sound, as if someone is crying.]

Scene I

Preeti: Listen! Did you hear that? Someone is crying.

Raju: Yes, but where is the sound coming from?

Lakshmi: Let’s check every room.

[All of them go to different rooms to search for the sound.]

Lakshmi: I will go to my room and check.

Raja: I will check my room.

Raju: Preeti and I will check downstairs.

[When Lakshmi enters her room, suddenly the toy boy doll appears standing in front of her.]

Toy Boy Doll: Hello, Lakshmi.

Lakshmi: Who’s there?

Toy Boy Doll: How are you?

Lakshmi: But you are a doll. Then how are you talking?

Toy Boy Doll: Yes, I am a doll, but I only speak at midnight… and I kill people with my own hands.

Lakshmi: That means… you killed my son Ram?

Toy Boy Doll: Yes, I killed your son. Now it is your turn to die.

Lakshmi: Please don’t kill me! Raju, please help me!

Toy Boy Doll: Ha… ha… ha… no one is going to help you. Get ready to die.

[Lakshmi tries to escape from her room, but the toy boy doll takes a knife and stabs her. Lakshmi dies inside her room.]



Scene II

[Preeti, Raju, and Raja continue searching through the other rooms.]

Toy Boy Doll: Hello, Raja.

Raja: Who’s there?

Toy Boy Doll: I am your death.

Raja: What? But you are only a doll!

Toy Boy Doll: Yes, I am a doll, but I like killing people with my own hands.

Raja: Mom and Dad, where are you?

Toy Boy Doll: Don’t worry. I already killed your brother Ram and your mother Lakshmi.

Raja: No! That cannot be true!

Toy Boy Doll: It is true. I already killed both of them. Now you are the third person who will die.

Raja: No!

[Suddenly, the toy boy doll attacks Raja inside the room and kills him.]

Toy Boy Doll: Now it is time for Preeti and Raju.


Scene III

[Preeti and Raju search through many rooms, but they do not find anything suspicious.]

Raju: Dear, did you find anything?

Preeti: No, Dad.

Raju: What happened to Raja and Lakshmi?

Preeti: Dad, let’s go and check.

Raju: Okay, let’s go.

[When they enter Lakshmi’s room, both of them become shocked after seeing Lakshmi’s dead body.]

Preeti: Oh my God! Mom, what happened to you?

Raju: What happened, Preeti?

Preeti: Dad, look what happened to Mom!

Raju: Someone killed Lakshmi… just like Ram.

Preeti: Where is Raja?

Raju: He went to his room to check.

Preeti: Dad, do you think someone killed Raja too?

Raju: No, no. Let’s go quickly.

Preeti: Yes, Dad.


[Then both of them rush to Raja’s room. They see Raja’s dead body lying on the floor covered in blood.]



ACT IX

[Suddenly, the toy boy doll appears behind them in Raja’s room with a knife in his hand.]

Scene I

Toy Boy Doll: Hello, Preeti and Raju.

Preeti: Who’s there?

Toy Boy Doll: I am the death of both of you.

Raju: That means you killed Lakshmi, Raja, and Ram.

Toy Boy Doll: Yes, I killed all of them. Now it is your turn to die.

Preeti: Please leave us. I request you.

Toy Boy Doll: I cannot leave without killing both of you.

[Raju becomes very angry after seeing the deaths of his family members. He tries to attack the toy boy doll.]

Raju: Today I will kill you because you destroyed my family!

Preeti: Dad, please don’t do it! He will kill you!

Raju: No! I will kill him. I am not afraid of anything.

[Suddenly, the toy boy doll stabs Raju in the stomach with the knife. Raju falls onto the floor and dies.]

Scene II
[Now Preeti is completely alone in the house.]

Toy Boy Doll: Preeti, now it is your turn.

Preeti: What do you want?

Toy Boy Doll: Nothing… just give me one kiss.

Preeti: No, I can’t kiss a murderer like you.

Toy Boy Doll: Okay, then get ready to die.

Preeti: Okay… I will give you a kiss, but not here. Let’s go to the bedroom.

Toy Boy Doll: Okay, let’s go.

Preeti: But promise me one thing — you will leave me alive afterward.

Toy Boy Doll: Yes, I promise that I will leave you without harming you.


[Both of them go toward the bedroom. Meanwhile, Preeti secretly starts thinking of a plan to save herself and stop the toy boy doll forever.]


Scene III

[When Preeti and the toy boy doll enter the bedroom, Preeti secretly takes a knife in her hand.]

Toy Boy Doll: Please come now… kiss me.

Preeti: Wait… I think someone is calling again.

Toy Boy Doll: Okay.

[Then Preeti and the toy boy doll sit together on the bed. Suddenly, Preeti takes the knife and stabs the toy boy doll in the stomach.]

Toy Boy Doll: Why did you do that?

Preeti: I want to save other people. If I let you live, you will continue killing many innocent people everywhere.

Toy Boy Doll: But I promised that I would not harm you.

Preeti: Yes, you gave me your promise, but I am worried about others. I don’t want to see more people die in front of my eyes.

Toy Boy Doll: You may kill me now… but remember one thing  I will return again to take revenge on you.

[The toy boy doll finally dies on the bed. Later, Preeti takes the doll and buries it in the ground near the forest.]


Scene IV

[Preeti goes near the dead bodies of her parents, brother Ram, and Raja. She becomes extremely emotional and starts crying.]

Preeti: I love you, Mom, Dad, Ram, and Raja. I am really sorry… I could not save you all from the toy boy doll.

[She cries bitterly in front of their bodies.]
[Next morning, the police arrive and take the dead bodies for postmortem and further procedures.]

After this tragic incident, Preeti is left completely alone in the house, surrounded by silence and painful memories.
