Some Hopes Never Die...!!

Calls were left unattended.

Messages got no replies.

Letters were left unread.

Moon was cursed, for ending day so soon.

Eagerly waited for sun to rise.

Hopes never "died"

Naina and Karan, such a lovely couple I had ever seen. Their support for each other, the way they both cared for each other, every little thing about that couple was really beautiful...

I did neither see Naina nor Karan for three months, one such day I saw Naina sitting alone in cafeteria. I took a step towards her and asked is everything fine with you and Karan - I am sorry to ask about it; hope you don't mind... I muttered!!

Naina just smiled and handed a piece of paper to me..

My pole star has stopped showing my way,

I am all alone without him,

He has slept peacefully, leaving me dead alive...

Wh...wh..what is this Naina? I shivered. He's gone..he's gone forever she cried -I did not hesitate to hug crying Naina to calm her down....I actually felt like she was my best friend in the past and I felt an unknown bonding with her. What really happened Naina? Thre..three months back we both met with an accident, white walls still gave me the strength to hold hope - Naina sobbed. He was in a coma, later he left meee.... I held her hand and said- if you need any help let me know, treat me as you, friend... I spent that evening with her.

I could feel Naina's pain, I remembered her crying face I hardly slept that night. I sat alone in the garden. It was 3 am I saw fire flies flying here and there, as I touched one I muttered ... I feel pity for Naina, why did such a beautiful couple get separated? I wish he returns, I know it's not possible but I wish though......

I saw a girl in black gown; face was not clearly seen but all I remembered was that she had a beautiful smile holding a boy's hand....far in a distance I smiled looking at her, wishing her all the best. I realized it was my dreams as I suddenly opened my eyes.

Next day morning when I entered the office I saw a huge crowd, as I sneaked in I saw Naina's photo placed on the table with a garland. What happened? I spoke to her yesterday can someone please explain!! I screamed... you should calm down- Naina committed suicide yesterday night because of high depression... my eyes filled with tears, the one who had become friend with me yesterday was no more today ...!!

As I sat quiet; in the corner, I saw the same girl whom I had seen in my dreams, it was the same as my dreams, she placed her neck on his shoulder giving a mild smile- it was Karan .. !!

Naina I shouted ...ssshh maintain silence they said.I ran out smiling... they are reunited; fire flies at 3am are really magical ones I whispered...
