So Called Normal Life

So Called Normal Life

We watch different movies and series when we get bored or to have an escape from our ongoing life, I tried watching a new movie called "Last Christmas", "Khaleesi" being a part of the cast was convincing enough for me to watch the movie. After the movie ended I was assured that I had just wasted 2hrs of my life because I thought the whole story was cliche and like every other short story it just had a sympathetic yet convincing end.

But the story was stuck in my head for a long time, of how she couldn't get back to her normal life after her heart transplant.

Isn't it the same situation as we all are in? We never expected an outburst of a pandemic nor expected it to last this long, I mean the virus keeps changing into different forms. We even heard words that we didn't even know the meaning of, like quarantine, isolation, pandemic, we have used these words more in these 2 years than in our whole life.

Many of them lost their jobs, lost their loved ones and I still can't believe it's already 2022. This is as same as what happened in the movie, after her heart transplant she was forced to get back to her normal life, the same way after all these pandemic effects we are forced by society to get back to our normal life. How can you call something normal when the normality of it is already taken out, how can you ask to get back to the life we had before the pandemic, after knowing the effects it had on everyone's life.

You can't expect a child to write and score in exams the same way their seniors did when they didn't even receive the same education as theirs. We all need to accept that this pandemic which took place almost after a century has no room for normal again. We need to give ourselves time to cope up with the changes in and around us, and not rush. We all went through a storm, so it will take time to settle back into our lives again, so instead of pushing ourselves to pursue the so-called normal life, we need to move along with the changes that came along with this virus and try to build our life back.

It's fine if it takes a long time for you to build your life again, it's always better to start than dread over the condition we are in.
