Snower's Symphony

Snower opened her eyes in a gasp thankfully she was in her one BHK apartment. The lights of her bedroom were on and her laptop like her was in a sleep mode too, she moved the mouse and photographs of her family members were staring at her. Snower was a shy girl from her childhood she was called ugly perhaps this was the reason she ceased to pose for any of the family photos. Snower had a long nose her siblings teased her, ' 'is this your nose or you are eating a banana?' or 'your hair seems like crawling earthworms', 'the only beautiful asset you possess is your nails'. All these teasings lowered her self esteem and jabbed her like needles. She was afraid to go out even for a walk and when she did her head was bent and eyes on the pavement. When she heard anyone laughing on the streets she thought it was on her appearance. The memories of the past opened the flood gates of tears, she searched for the glass of water which she kept on the side table and had a couple of sips.

With the passage of time, Snower diverted her attention to paintings which were highly appreciated. She had come a long way from the teasings, her mind had blocked those painful memories but a glance at the photographs which she kept in her laptop made mind's eye gallop back and she put them into the canvas and colored them.
