She Said "NO" Finally

She Said "NO" Finally

This time, she won't listen to a thing. Not a word that could melt her heart. She has just ended it. It's over.

Rohit is indeed a good guy. At least that's what Ronu uncle used to blabber every day. If I am not wrong, every father in the village wants their sons and daughters to follow in Rohit's footsteps. Golden steps if they mention casually.

It's not a big deal for Rohit to score points against any odds, from study to sports. So disciplined and honored fellow.

Every sizzling word from Ronu uncle's mouth started touching Alisha's dream and determination to become a female gynecologist from the prime village. Of course, she would become the first graduate of her family and a doctor of course. She has always admired him in a good way.

Rohit and Alisha together, not even them might have thought it. Rohit became Alisha's local guardian there in college, miles away from their home village. Both were young and beautiful, so it was written to get along with the flow.

It hardly takes a year when admiration becomes an inspiration and it grows into love, especially after Alisha expressed her feelings for the most perfect guy she had known ever.

5 years gap. Rohit, yeah he always wanted to have intimacy with a younger girl. Fantasies if I have not mistaken. Rohit has his own dark secrets behind his outer innocent face and behavior. One to show, one to flow.

Just like another teenage relationship, Alisha was so into it that she couldn't say no to him.

Away from home, almost every other day Rohit used to call her to his room and offer her to explore his fantasies.

First few weeks, Alisha thought Rohit loves to experiment with all his fantasies. With times the intensity and bizarrely acts keep on increasing. She often tries to deny but she keeps on supporting him and he kept on using her.

Her friends could easily note those marks and physical complications. They often try to say her to stop there, but she always ends up convincing them.

It was December 14th, two days after their first proposeversary. For the first time, he started to show symptoms of Othello's syndrome. He could feel jealous of every other guy in her life. He can't help himself without torturing her physically and mentally daily. He often apologizes for his preoccupied thoughts and behaviors. It was no more one of those fantasies.

She was a sex toy for him, but now she became a victim.

A story she can't even share with anyone but herself. Her life became miserable to bear. Once in a while, she even thinks of finishing her misery. Unbearable but she often tries to convince herself as it is his fate.

Those emotions, those painful moments, and verbal and physical abuses.

She wants to fight back but, she is too strong for that. Two years and counting. Rohit has no more to fear about or to care about. Same events to repeat, every now and then.

It was obviously a perfect mismatch. But the heartache continues.

Until that night.

Rohit hit Alisha with his belt again. He accused her as always. He called her a whore as always. He did every wrong thing to kill her last breathe that loved him once. She didn't cry that night, not a tear to waste. She just went to bed and slept.

After satisfying his psychological ego, Rohit too went to bed and slept better.

Morning at 8 o'clock, Rohit hardly woke up and he couldn't see a bit of her. She just left. It took him a minute to realize that it's finally over.

Phone blocked. Blocked everywhere.

He dressed up the fastest he could. He ran to her hostel to meet her but, she said "NO". First time if it could be mentioned exactly.

She officially called her parents this time, narrated every bit of his dark side to her close ones. She didn't cry because she knew that soft version of her already ended last night.

It was enough for no reason.

No matter why Rohit wanted to know, "why yesterday? Why not the very first time or, any time during the last two years? Why only yesterday?"

It was never late to end or to start a thing, whichever is healthy for one. To discovering self.

Maybe that's why.

And she said "NO" finally.

It's over her first love or first mistake. Whatever. At least she's no more a toy to torture or a thing to torment.

Future, nobody saw. Past, nobody cares. The present is what one has. Always. Live it.
