I heard the real tale of child-lifters which was occurred long before ago. Once a six years old child was playing alone in the noon of the summer season at mango-grove adjacent to an old building of a village. Taking the advantage of loneliness, a child-lifter came and enticed the child taking away the outskirts of the village and kept engaged himself packing the child inside the sack. At that time common people used to believe in pestering of child-lifters and they were called vampire-bats or suckers of human blood by the public. Astonishingly few farmers were returning then from other villages after cultivating their own lands in the same way. Looking at them the child-lifter disappeared at once surprisingly leaving the child inside the sack. Farmers reached the spot, found the child inside the sack and managed to escape the child (myself) from the child-lifter.
