Reputation is EVERYTHING!!!

Reputation is EVERYTHING!!!

My parents told me "All you have in life is your name and your reputation."

and I now find that to be completely and utterly true(I, like most teens, don't necessarily like it when my parents are right but whatever). When I look at Prominent people I used to think " Gosh they have it so easy living the life of their dreams." and now I think " What got them to where they are now? What did they do to earn all that they have?" And it all comes down to reputation. Maybe it's the job that made them wealthy but it's not really about the job it is about their reputation. Let's say they are an anesthesiologist. Do you think that if they had a reputation for being a thief or a murderer that they would get that job? Heck to the No Not with that kind of medicinal practice anyway. They most likely had a great reputation for staying focused, completing their work, showing up on time(ya know, all those good qualities that make up a respectful, responsible, and well-mannered human being.) THAT is what got them that job. Those characteristics are what made them their money and it was all because they had a good reputation.

How about someone who went from "Prada to Nada" (yall gotta watch that movie! it's hilarious!!!) Reputation plays a big, fat, gigantic role in wealth and even in a family. Do you think that if your attitude pretty much said " Im a jerk who doesnt give two craps about someone else." that they would still be married or have a nice house or even have a job? Short answer: No. Long answer: Absolutely not. :) If that is what they are notorious for then they wouldn't have the power they used to. Now if they were a legit ANGEL that would be a different story. Their wealth would increase, their power would increase and they would have a great family. They would have Givenchy or Gucci or Chanel (Ya know all the expensive things normal people like me can barely afford.) In other words, try your best to have a good reputation because it will get you further in life than a bad one.

"It's folly to measure your success in fame or money. Success is only measured by your ability to say yes to these two questions:

Did I do the work I needed to do? Did I give it everything I got? "
