Likes: Giving random nicknames to group members, telling jokes, reading books, the color purple, Pikachu, rice, and strawberries.

Dislikes: Birds, Heights, Hamsters, Shopping, Mangos and seafood.

Can: speak korean, Japanese, and Basic chinese, play the piano and the drums

Cant: Ride a bicycle, play the guitar, or speak English fluently.

Interesting facts: Her lips turn to a heart shape when she smiles, she sleeps with a plushie bunny and a plushie snoopy, and the reason she hates shopping is that she is often confused about what to buy.

Born January 3rd, 1995 in Gunpo, South Korea to a wealthy family, Kim Jisoo always wanted to be a singer and an actor. She liked to play basketball, took taekwondo classes, and was a TVXQ fan. 

When she was sixteen she auditioned for YG and trained for 5 years. After she passed her audition she practiced dance with the other members of Blackpink and then took vocal lessons from two or three teachers on her own.

 In 2016 she officially became a member of BlackPink. When asked about how she felt auditioning for YG she stated

”I used to want to be a writer or a painter, although I couldn't paint very well. I joined the drama club when I was in 11th grade. They were saying I should try auditioning because I needed the experience. My first audition was at YG [Entertainment]. I didn't know much at all about YG before I arrived there the first day. It felt like something far removed from me. I never thought I’d actually be doing it for real."

Jisoo became the lead vocalist, main visual and the oldest member of BlackPink. Jisoo is well known for rarely crying at performances. Blackpinks song-writer and Producer, Teddy Park states that 

“She does have that professional poker face, I've known Jisoo for, let's say, a good six years. I've seen her cry, once.” 

Last year BlackPink made a comeback with their first ever album “The Album” In an interview The Girl group was asked what they want to achieve through their comeback and Jisoo responded with this

“We’ve been really hard at work with our stage performance for “Playing with Fire''. I want to hear that our performance has been upgraded. And I also want to hear that we’re not only good at dancing but also good at singing acoustic ballads like “Stay”.

 Due to her good looks and bright smile, she still remains the group’s main visual for performances and music videos. The other members also say she has a great sense of humor, is very unpredictable, and has very clear preferences when it comes to food.
