Perfect Shot

Lekha had just one aim in life. She wanted to conquer her final bastion, the National Championships. She had worked hard putting in six to seven hours of practice. Her coach had faith in her ability to deliver in the finals of the women's archery individual event as well as the team event.

And now was the moment of reckoning. She had scored well and needed the last shot to be a10.5 to win. Could she do it?

Her opponent in the final was Madhulika, who had scored a fantastic 10.3, 10.2, 10.1,10.2 and 10.1.

Lekha picked up an arrow and took aim. Her concentration was immense. She pushed away all thoughts of the expectations of her coach, her family, and her fans. Her aim was perfect.

Her shot was a score of 10.8.

She had won! Lekha flopped down on the ground in prayer.
