It was starting to get cold in early winter, Rakesh was a final year student of college at that time. The misty sun was shining and the dew was shining on the top of the grass. That day was Sunday. Rakesh was sitting in his room, reading the newspaper and drinking hot tea. His mother was cooking in the kitchen. His father went to the market.
That's when the doorbell rang. The mother said to look once, maybe the housemaid had come to take the month's money. Reena ran downstairs and saw a man and a woman standing in the doorway. Reena doesn't recognize any of them.
The gentleman asked Reena, "Is your mother at home?"
Reena replied with a nod that the mother was at home. The gentleman said in his identity that he is the mother's distant brother. Reena asked him to come home and asked him to sit in the living room.
The mother comes into the sitting room from the kitchen and wonders, "Hey Pankaj! Why? After so many days. Is this your wife Sunita? It happened to you after so many days. Okay.
Pankajbhai is mother's distant brother. They are three brothers, three sisters. The younger brother has come to give an invitation on the occasion of Suresh's wedding. The conversation revealed that Sunita's younger sister was unmarried at the time and they were looking for the right boy. They all live in a joint family in the village house, the name of the village is Anand Nagar. Rakesh's mother is a teacher and his mother's school is in Anand Nagar. He lived in his home when his mother started a school job. Sunita's younger sister Sejal. Rakesh has heard a lot about it from his mother's mouth, how Sejal was playing with Rakesh all day.
When Rakesh reached the age of understanding and started going to school, Rakesh's parents moved to Ahmedabad. Rakesh doesn't remember those little things. Sejal was also young at that time. They were both playing together. He spent the whole day playing with her in the mangoes garden, on the edge of the lake.
Everyone in the village has a large and joint family. Pankaj also has a joint family and one of their sons, named Neel, is in fourth class.
The mother accepted Pankaj's invitation and said that they would all go to Suresh's wedding.
The sun is setting in the sky. Everyone in the house is busy preparing. When it comes to marriage, everyone is eager to make themselves perfect. Rakesh finds out that Pankajbhai's house is far away. Anandnagar is in the town, and it will take about four hours by bus. The wedding is at midnight.
The wedding day was in the second week of December. morning time, they will to their mother's aunt's house in Anand Nagar. After a while, the bus left Ahmedabad and Rakesh sat next to window and tried hard to remind. Playing with Sejal in childhood, what a wonderful sight it was! Thinking about all this, Rakesh woke up at once.
Rakesh woke up and called his mother, "Get up. Anand Nagar is almost here. We have to get off at the next stop."
After getting off the bus, my mother told me that Pankaj's house was about two or three miles from the main road. In reply, Rakesh's father said, "Friends, there is a lot of oxygen in the village air. Take a deep breath, you will not get this fresh air in Ahmedabad. You now, let's go." Father's words can no longer be disrespected, Rakesh essentially started walking. As he walked down the street, his mother told him the Sejal story. Hearing that, Rakesh's intense desire to see Sejal awoke in his mind.
After a long walk, they all reached Pankajbhai's house. The house is huge. As soon as you enter the house, it is as if a man has fallen into the sea. There is a lot of noise, screaming and running around. Rakesh is new to that environment, he doesn't know anyone. The mother introduced him to his aunt. Rakesh bowed. Sunita called everyone in the family and everyone talked to Rakesh's family. Rakesh finds Sejal out of his eyes, but he doesn't see her. Rakesh's chest was trembling, how can he ask where is Sejal ? What not to do there, he did not ask out of fear that he did not dare to ask. The mother asked Sunita about Sejal. Rakesh breathed a sigh of relief. Sunita replied that Sejal is the youngest girl in the house. She has gone for a walk or out with her sisters.
At the same time, a group of girls were passing by, talking and carrying flowers. Sunita called out to one of them, "Listen to that Sejal. I'm calling you."
A beautiful young woman came forward from the middle of the group of girls. There is a charming smile on her red lips. The girl leaned down and bowed at her mother's feet. Rakesh's mother hugged the girl with both hands and kissed her on the forehead.
The mother said in a soft voice, "Sejal! My little girl has grown up a lot. I haven't seen you in a long time,.
One time, Sejal looked at Rakesh's face and asked his mother, " Is this your son Rakesh,?"
The mother replied in a nod, "Yes. You remember you played with her when you were younger."
Sejal pointed a finger at Rakesh and asked his mother, "Rakesh has grown a lot."
A sweet Sejal laughs looking in front of Rakesh. Seeing that smile, Rakesh's heart started beating fast. Hearing the sound, it felt as if someone had poured honey in his ears.Hugging his mother, Sejal said, "I'll talk to you later." Then he looked in front of Rakesh and said,
"You can call me a Pari. Everyone in the house calls me a Pari. I'm in a hurry now, I'll meet you later.
Then, Pari got lost in the crowd with her sisters. Rakesh looked in front of the Pari with vague eyes. Rakesh did not know what to do alone. new environment, new people, no one knows.
Rakesh took a cup of coffee and went to the roof. In the afternoon sun, he was walking alone on the roof, standing in a corner and looking at the beauty of the village. Suddenly his gaze went down to the courtyard. A group of girls are standing in the courtyard and chatting. Looking at Pari, it looks like a princess is surrounded by her friends.Fascinated by the beauty of the Pari. Rakesh later fell in love. An invisible magnetic force is pulling at him. After a while the group of girls went to the other side. Rakesh is standing in one corner, there is a lot of noise all around.
The sun has set on the western horizon. The wedding house has been lit up in a thousand lights. In the wedding crowd, Rakesh floats alone in front of the eyes of Pari's face. Suddenly someone grabbed Rakesh and pulled him away. Looking back, a little boy was standing behind him, looking at him and smiling.
Rakesh asks him, "What happened?"
The boy replied, "I am Neel. Everyone calls me naughty, I am Pankajbhai's son."
Rakesh raised his hand and shook hands with the naughty boy, "Nice to meet you."
Naughty boy replied, "Pari, calling you.
Rakesh asks him, "Why is she calling me?"
On the other hand, I felt like they were dancing!
Naughty boy says with a devilish smile, "You go and you ask him why are you calling me?" At that time, the naughty boy ran away.
Rakesh set foot towards the courtyard. With each step, his chest beat increased a hundredfold, as if his heart were trying to tear his ribs. That winter night, Rakesh sweated profusely. As soon as he set foot in the courtyard, Rakesh saw Pari standing up and talking to some other women. Seeing his mother, Rakesh got courage.
The mother called him and asked, "Come here. Where have you been all day?"
Pari also asked him with a mischievous smile, "Yes Rakesh, where have you been all day?"
Seeing that smile, Rakesh thought, "I have been immersed in your tune all day."His mother told him the bus would leave at six o'clock in the afternoon, and be on time,
Pari came to Rakesh's side and said to her mother, "Don't worry. I will keep her now just like when I was little." He looked at her and saw her face.
Pari looked at Rakesh and motioned him to walk with her. After being speechless for so long, Rakesh was just looking at the Pari, and started walking beside her as if shocked to hear her words.
Pari asked him, "Do you remember anything from childhood?"
Rakesh shook his head, "No no."
Pari, "Are you intelligent boy?"
Rakesh nodded again, "Hmm."
What would he say? Rakesh is losing his speech power and is just listening to him.
Pari said, "I graduated in English literature. Are you also a graduate in English literature?"
Rakesh nodded again, "Yes."
Pari said, "I want to study more. My mother is looking for a boy for my marriage. And I also want to be a school teacher."
Rakesh nodded silently and started walking beside him. As a result of walking sideways, sometimes the Pari's hand is touching Rakesh's hand, sometimes the middle fingers are touching each other. A light touch of a finger struck Rakesh on the spine. Repeatedly Rakesh's gaze went to the Pari's face.
Looking in front of Rakesh, Pari asks, "Do you think that? My mother will let me study?"
Silent Rakesh looked up at the sky and tried to figure out what to answer.
Pari said angrily, "What's the matter, Rakesh? Since then I've only been saying one thing. You don't have a tongue that you are dumb.Rakesh looked up at the sky and took a deep breath. With a sigh of relief in his chest, he said, "Pari, you are so beautiful." Rakesh did not close his eyes as soon as he said and, Pari slapped him on the cheek. After hearing her, Pari let go of her hand and stood up. He looked at Rakesh and asked, "Didn't you hear me?" Rakesh slapped his hand hard and said, "I'm not the devil."
Rakesh looked at Pari with courage in his mind and said, "No, it's not like that. I have heard everything about you but you look so beautiful, Pari."
Pari smiled shyly and replied, "You're naughty. Thank you for the compliment."
Rakesh's mind became anxious, he reached out to Pari to get a little touch. Just then, Rakesh's mother called him and it was time for the bus.Pari understands Rakesh's mind, Rakesh reached her and looked at Pari. Pari also looked at him. And said with a mischievous smile on his face,
Pari said
"I will wait ......"
and then Rakesh ran towards the bus.
