A running competition was to be organized in Shivnagar village. There was a prize of one lakh rupees for the winner and I was busy with my preparation with a lot of hard work. Yes, I thought I would win, but I was afraid I might not win. After all, Mahesh was a champion in the race and had won many prizes before. I was very fond of running, so I took part in this competition. I was looking forward to the day when the race would be competitive. Finally that day is gone.

Everyone was ready for the race, but Mahesh looked a little sad. The competition began. After my hard work I won the competition, but I was also wondering how Mahesh lost. I didn’t believe I won. Mahesh looked a little sad.

After the race, I asked him why he was sad, did he have a problem?

Mahesh said, "My mother is sick and I don't have money for treatment and to go to the city. I participated in the competition because if I win I will get money, but my mother took care so I couldn't prepare. So I Lost in front of you. After saying that, he became sad and depressed. I felt like helping him from the bottom of my heart and I gave him that one lakh rupees. At first he refused to take the money, but at my insistence he took it. I was not so happy when I became a champion in the race but the way I was happy when I gave him the money is really the same true happiness.
