P.S. I Love you

Only 10 days were left for Holi but unlike other years Nisha did not have even an ounce of excitement for the festival of colours. Nisha and Aman were married in 2018 and like any other couple they both had their shares of fights and arguments but their bond and love with the passing time only grew stronger. Weekends were mostly with loads of Popcorn watching rom com movies, "P.S. I Love you" being their all time favorite. 

Then came 2020 that changed everything . Amidst the peak of Covid-19 on 12th July 2020 Aman went to the Groceries to buy some essentials and somehow got infected with the deadly disease, things quickly turned bad for him and within a week he was shifted in an ICU. Thankfully Nisha was safe but she was all alone as both set of parents were stuck in their respective cities, she was running pillar to post between hospital and home But all was lost on 22nd July when Aman lost the Covid battle.

The world came crashing down for Nisha. The chirpy, bubbly, dynamic girl was somewhere lost. Even though her parents, in-laws and friends stood with her like a pillar something inside her was broken. Slowly things started getting back to normal and she too resumed her office to keep herself distracted.

 After 8 long months, when people around her were busy preparing for upcoming Holi, she sat down to watch their favorite movie once again. This time "P.S I love you", had an altogether different meaning for her, it was as if she was seeing herself in the movie. Halfway into the movie suddenly she gazed onto the full-size marriage portrait of herself and Aman , both grinning ear to ear in the picture. In that one moment she had an realization even though her Aman was no Gerry who left letters on how to go on in life once he is not there, but just like Gerry in the movie, Aman would have wanted her to move on and live her life to the fullest and be her crazy self. 

"Yes Aman I will live, I will be crazy, I will conquer the world I had always planned", she murmmed to herself smiling for the first time in months, She was all geared up to celebrate the festival of colours knowing fully well that Aman is with her in spirit , yes she was ready to celebrate #RangBarse once again.
