Not An Arranged Marriage

Evelyn wasn't sure about her marriage plans, she didn't want to get married now as she was busy planning her career. But her parents has already selected a groom for her. Vivacious eligible handsome bachelor Christian Blackswan owns a company himself ,he has been a brand ambassador of his father's company Winston. But Evelyn's parents had already met Christian at her home and they liked him a lot and he too liked their warm welcome . Soon Christian invited Evelyn's family with Evelyn for lunch at his home but Evelyn had to cancel her lunch with Christian along with her family as she had to go out of the town for her work. Her parents was very disappointed with her behavior and Christian was disheartened because he was eager to meet Evelyn.

Evelyn returned after one week, she was sad and guilty and confessed the truth,

 " I hadn't gone anywhere mommy daddy I was just staying at a friends place because i wanted to escape my meeting with Christian. . . . . .

"Mommy I didn't want to get married now I need some time. . . "

And I am a 21st century girl and I don't believe in arrange marriages I believe in live-in relationships or love marriages.

Listen dear Christian is a good man and he belongs to a good family and there is no harm to do arrange marriage said her elder sister Rihanna. . . . . .

Dear Evelyn !! Christian was waiting to meet you and I and your mother think he has started liking you, I request you please give him a chance and meet him, said Evelyn's father . . . .

But daddy what if he really likes and I couldn't like him exclaimed worried Evelyn. . . . . . .

Dear Evelyn !! what you think is impossible because many girls of this state and girls from other neighboring states are sending proposals of marriage to him !!!!

Daddy then why didn't agreed to marry one of them, so why me?

Dear Evelyn, your beauty can't be taken for granted understand, so don't waste time and start preparing to meet him.

Okay daddy, said Evelyn unhappily . . . . . .

The sad face and low voice tone of Evelyn made her father duke Alvarez emotional,he could only understand her feelings but can't support her.  

It's Valentine's day ,Evelyn wore her favorite red coloured gown though she didn't wanted to wear but on her father's request she agreed. She made a normal hair bun and wore a single neckpiece but no earings and high heels and took her phone and purse.  

She reached the coffee shop and untied her hair, removed off the necklace and throw off the necklace on the streets.

A local thief was passing by he saw the necklace lying on the road he took it on his hand, " It's expensive he murmured and put the necklace in his pocket and runs away. . . . . "

Meanwhile, Evelyn left the coffee shop without meeting Christian and went to the Central park and sitting under a tree she cries. Lady take this handkerchief and wipe out your tears, hearing the voice she looked up, she wipe her tears with her hand, a handsome looking gentleman is standing before her in a worried face.

He asked ,"Lady take this handkerchief and say what happened , may be if I can help you ?

I don't need any help especially of a stranger and I am fine so just go from here, please leave me alone as I wanted to stay alone said angrily Evelyn. . . . .

The gentleman suspected of something wrong so he didn't leave the place. He keeps her asking, furious and irritated of the gentleman Evelyn leaves the place and started walking. The gentleman keeps stalking her, she tried to run but get hit by a tree, she fell down but not in the ground but in his lap, he saved her. She slowly thanks him for saving her from falling. . . . . " I am sorry for my rude behavior with you gentleman !! . . .

The man said no problem lady, he asked , Now if you don't get angry again may I asked why were you crying?. . . . . .

 She tells the whole story and started crying loudly again, she took the handkerchief from her hand, while she was wiping her tears the man asked ,"lady what's the name of the person you came to met here? His name is Christian she said and the gentleman smiled a bit. "

The gentleman's behavior towards her made her heart soft and attracted towards him, she realise this is her ideal man whom she wants to marry, she begins to be overfriendly with the gentleman but the gentleman is understanding everything and kept smiling and does what he said . . . . . !!!!

When the birds stopped chirping and observing the squirrels running into their holes ,she realized the sun has fall, she said I have to leave because its already late and I haven't met him till now my father will be very angery. The gentleman started laughing she thought what she had said that it made him laugh so badly. Before she could understand and ask him anything he took her phone dialed a number and gave back to her and said its my number my lady. She laughed a little bit and said . . . . "My name is not lady my name is Evelyn and Sorry I didn't asked your name . . . . . . ?"

" The gentleman said I am Mr blackswan, 

She thought something but again realized she is getting late for her home, she handshakes and hugs him and said goodbye and leaves but while going forward she turned back and said ,thanks for the number and hope to meet soon, the gentleman shouted meeeee toooo. She returned home, she fears to face her father, her heartbeats were high while pressing the doorbell, her father opened the door but she was surprised seeing her father so happy her whole family warmly greeted her as if she has won a battle and came. She was about to say something when her mother said We had a big news for you Mr Christian has agreed for marriage and he is very happy to meet you, Evelyn gets shocked she whispered in mind,"How can Mr Christian lie to my family and say this when I haven't met him yet , She said daddy !! I want to say you something . . . . ???? 

Her father said I know Mr Christian told me that you took his handkerchief and forgotten to return him back. . . . . .

Handkerchief !!!! She exclaimed , what you're saying daddy ? . . . . She murmured in her mind again, she opens her purse and saw the handkerchief, in one corner of the handkerchief c letter is printed and Christian's first name initial letter is c, she started laughing havoc such that tears came out of her eyes, she understand why the gentleman is smiling,she turned back and asked ,Daddy !what is Christian title? My dear he is known as Christian blackswan, she again keeps laughing she understand everything. The next day morning she called on Christian number he takes the call they both talked for a longer time and Evelyn invited him for dinner at her place. Christian arrived with his family, a short get together takes place, Christian and Evelyn together announces their wedding date and venue name, the announcement is taken further and celebrated with cheers to beers, Evelyn's father played a song in the background and several song filled hour later under the moonlight Christian proposes Evelyn to which Evelyn said yes and afterwards they shared a long kiss till the sun rises in the next morning.
