No Two Telugus Think Alike
No Two Telugus Think Alike
I am talking about the verbal spat between two Telugu cricketers namely Ambati Rayudu & M.S.K Prasad. I don't want to go through the details which are not worth mentioning.
But let me tell you, when did two Telugus agree to agree ? Since time immemorial, two telugu speaking people have always agreed to disagree with each other. If one telugu said "Nandi" (the elephant), the other telugu would always say or retort "Pandhi" (the pig). There are always contradictions between two Telugus in any forum or gathering of intellectuals.
No wonder we now have 2 telugu speaking states in India (not based on linguis
tic formula but based on convenience & political ceasefire).
I wonder how many more telugu speaking states will be carved out in the near future. I guarantee atleast 2 more additional telugu speaking states namely Rayalseema & Konaseema apart from Andhra & Telangana.
Jai ho Telugu rashtra or Telugu union of states !!
Secularism is not just about Hindu versus Muslim or between two different communities. It is about Hindu versus Hindu and Shaivaite (Shiva followers) versus Vaishnavite (Vishnu followers).
We must first learn to be secular within our own community
