Hello to you before I start my story NEW ME. The topic itself is inspiring and enthusiastic. Of course, we come across various persons in our day-to-day life. Everyone doesn't stand in our memories except few ones who really motivate us and shapes us. Today we stand as heroes realizing our potential because of someone.
I'm Punitha, working as a Government School teacher. My real-life story is a long journey and I have met a few real-life heroes who stood behind my success. First of all, I would like to thank the Almighty Lord Jesus whom I consider as my Father. I was brought up by my single mother who had lost her husband in her early married life. I dedicate this story to my beloved Jesus and my beloved mom.
Life was not a bed of roses for me even from my childhood. There was scarcity at home even for our basic needs. My School Teachers took care of my needs at school. I was the top rank holder at school. I participated in all the competitions and won the prize. I knew very well that except for my studies I have nothing in my life to progress.
Life had become still when I completed my school studies. There was no one to guide me and take care of my higher studies. I joined the Montessori course which was just eligible to work in Nursery schools. My mom was not willing to continue my college due to our poverty. I continued my studies in distance education working as a Nursery school teacher. My dreams and my passion for studies had not been quenched by tough situations. "PERSEVERANCE PAYS"!!!
I worked in that reputed institution continuing my UG, PG, and B.Ed. I remember my colleagues Mrs. Velvizhi and Miss. Michele who boosted my confidence level.
Mrs. Velvizhi used to say, " One day or the other you will become a Government staff in a higher position. That day you will travel by car and I will be walking on the road. You won't even stop the car to notice me. I have to wait for your appointment to meet you." I used to laugh and say, " Don't talk about things which are impossible.
But of course, things started to turn positive in my life. I passed my TET exam and got through my job as a GOVT Teacher by the grace of God. God has set me in a higher position earning a desirable salary. Still, now her words ringing in my ears which came true in my life.
Moral: We may not have the wealth to support those who are in need. Our words and deeds can boost up others and help them to overcome the hurdles in life.
