My Idea of a Fun Weekend

Ever since the lockdown has begun, it feels like ages since I have had any fun at all. I had planned that my vacations would be spent swimming and playing for hours on end. But thanks to the coronavirus, all of it got cancelled. Now, sitting bored at home, I can't help but plan the perfect weekend for when we emerge from this lockdown.

What better way to begin the best weekend than by having a piping hot, deliciously steaming English breakfast? I'm a foodie at heart and a cleanliness freak. So the next thing would be to help my parents with lunch and assist in cleaning up the house. All work and no play would make me dull, so I will then enjoy some art and craft and play with my toys. After a healthy and nourishing lunch, I will start nodding off to sleep, so the best way to ward off the sleepy vibes would be to do something that is my absolute favourite pastime - tinkering with bits of code and developing new apps. The foodie in me will once again push me to explore new cake recipes with my mother.

Too much fun can get a little boring sometimes, so I will study for an hour to make myself excited for the next bit of fun. After studying comes exercise and yoga. Sweating and tired, but feeling more energized than ever, I will then do what I have missed so sorely during the lockdown - playing with my neighbourhood friends and the friendly puppies that live in our vicinity. When it is time for supper, we will watch a movie while munching on popcorn, chips and homemade pizza. Sleep will come readily for my body will be thoroughly exhausted by the end of the day. I will have enjoyed this first day so much that I will not change the routine for the second day. The second night will be much quieter and more peaceful, as I will want to gaze at the stars and the sky with our telescope, sprawling out on the green grass with my family.

I have spent so much time imagining this perfect weekend, that I can't wait for it to materialize in reality. I want to get rid of this invisible wall that seems to be cutting me off from the rest of the world.
