All That Is Well Ends Well
One day we were called to the principal's office. At first, we thought we were in great trouble, however, we were called for being honoured for our bravery in protecting the school. Furthermore, we were invited to meet the higher officials in the school. Along with us was the captain of the first plank unit. We were surprised and scared furthermore the angry face and guns scared us out of our wits. However, when the captain saw us he smiled at us and said, "Don't worry, you are not in trouble". Despite the peace words far away in our hearts, we still had that fear instilled in us. Out of nowhere, we were under an ambush by the German soldiers. The captain ran forward with his units however he was, shot. We carried him to a safe place picking up a medical box as we had been trained for the medical aid. Despite our best efforts with some other children who came to our aid. The captain had been shot multiple times and subsequently succumbed to his death enraged. We picked up the guns from the ammo unit and ran forward shooting, many soldiers we ran up to the top floor as we had got to know that there was some armoury and supplies kept there. When we reached the top we even found a way to send rescue signals to the 16th platoon and contact a helicopter which came in minutes and evacuated the caption and the teachers they even called us children but there was no space and the German soldiers got to know about the helicopter and came up. We gathered our defense materials, armour, bombs and many more we jumped onto the concrete floor which was used in emergencies and ran down to a safe spot with a good view of what was going on. Yet we being in the safest area of the entire school there was an enormous tank explosion which blasted our ears.
While we all tried to figure out what was going on a moment later we heard the battle cries of the 16th platoon. Who had come after the war with the Germans on the main battlefield. With renewed energy, despite being badly wounded by the glass pieces. We ran out, shooting all the soldiers. I told half of the people to go to the north part and half to go to the east gate. While I and my buddy again went on the top floor and after making sure everyone including the 16th platoon came out of the building. We put several bombs down the stairs and closed the doors. However, my friend was shot, by the German soldiers who were on the top of the building waiting for us. Enraged I ran shot many bullets at them and suffered many injuries myself one specific German soldier shot me on my intestine leaving me in immense pain and as I was going to be killed a sniper killed the last person. I woke up to find myself in the hospital bed. A doctor came at that movement and was shocked to see me alive because he said, "Think of yourself the be lucky for you had a bullet lodged near your heart and all of us thought you were going to die." I asked the doctor, "Is my friend alive". The doctor told, "ring the bell beside your bed and see for yourself". I rang the bell with mixed thoughts in my mind, soon my friend came in. The doctors had to amputate his left hand to save him. I was very happy to see him realise. I soon thought about the time when I said that I was shot in my intestine but instead I was shot close to the heart. When I told my friend this both of us laughed heartily. When we exited the hospital we were greeted like real heroes everyone was there except the 'angry face captain' who died both of us cried for the loss of such a great captain and he will be remembered always. The general came forward and awarded me the medal of honour and the victoria cross. I thought that only one person gets those awards and sadly looked at my friend seeing me the general said not only you but also your Major John Smith will get both the awards too. On top of this, both of you will now get free games for your life along with the new edition of comics.
