Mon Anniversaire de Mariage

Dear Diary,

Today is 29th Apr '20 and the thirty-sixth day of the lockdown against Corona. Today is also my marriage anniversary. What a way to celebrate the marriage anniversary, being incarcerated in the house, nowhere to go! However, on a positive note, this situation reminds me of the setting of the song from the blockbuster Bobby, "Hum tum ek kamre main band hon aur chabi kho jaye...". However this time the key is in the hands of Corona! We enjoyed reminiscing about our earlier marriage anniversary celebrations with family & friends. Times have really changed.

However, amongst this muted celebration, one heart-wrenching news came today, the sad demise of our beloved actor Irrfan Khan. It seemed like a personal loss. His movies elegantly depicted the simple lives of ordinary people. A middle-class man started seeing a role model in Irrfan Khan. Finally, the PIKU star plays Peek-a-boo with life! All the Hindi Medium & Angrezi Medium people were his fans. We'll miss him while opening our Lunch Box... I wish God could have extended the life of Pi.

The entire world is fighting the Coronavirus, which is fastidiously holding its ground for the past for more than four months. Such has been the scare of the virus that people are afraid of stepping out of their homes. Medical experts around the world are burning the midnight oil to invent a suitable vaccine. Till then, we have to take care and play hide and seek with the Coronavirus...
