Dear Diary,

Today is the seventeenth day of the countrywide lockdown. Today the nation is celebrating Good Friday. It is the day, Jesus, the son of God, was crucified. Jesus absolved the mankind of it's sins and took entire burden of sins on himself and got crucified. Good Friday is of great importance in today's scenario. Mankind has committed the sins of over exploitation of the nature and is now undergoing penance. Each one of us has to rise above the selfishness of petty material gains and behave like sons of God to be revived again from the curse of the current pandemic as Jesus got resurrected on Easter Sunday after his crucifixion.

Today I talked to some of my college time friends. They shared their views on the current scenario and told how they are tackling the lockdown. Talking to old time friends is always very soothing. In life, we come across many people, but few of them seem to be the persons with whom we strike a friendship. Just being in there company is very pleasing. They seem to understand our feelings as sometimes even our close family members don't. Someone rightly said that long life is good if one has good health and lots of friends. Now in this hour of gloom, we need our friends more than ever before. Due to social distancing, we can't meet them, but can definitely talk to them on phone and reminisce about the good old days. These positive vibrations will surely help us in dealing with the boredom of lockdown.

During one training program many years ago, the trainer had told us that if we can make our thoughts, then we can break them too. In current situation, many of us are under duress and may experience emotional disturbance and find it hard to cope with the situation. We have to remember that we have the power of manipulating our thoughts. We can and should focus on positive thoughts only to give us mental strength to tide over the crisis.
