I sat on the train with unclear views of what I was going to see the next day. A clear jingle of the luminous sunset appears on the tracks, as the train moves.

1930 HRS

The train which was silhouetted against the pitch black sky was chugging slowly towards Bolpur Shantiniketan and ultimately it came to a stop. Our fellas stepped into the compartment and we had our dinner and played board games.

We have finally reached Guwahati and are eagerly waiting for the booked cars. Oh! I am so hungry!!!!

Whoa! What a day! And now I am shivering at Mawlylong. When will the dinner come only god knows!! The wretched...

0600 HRS

Sorry I slept after that and I don't even recollect what we had last night. Everyone says it was momos.

I though doubt it that I am starting to feel hungry.

0738 HRS

We are on the way to Dawki now and we will camp there!! Yesterday we saw the Umiam Lake and the Elephant Falls. Oh! The road is horrible!!

2008 HRS

We are finally camping alongside the Dawki river. It's shivering cold in here. We ate Chilli Chicken by sitting alongside by the bonfire. We stargazed 10 minutes and then bade "Good Night" to each other.

1038 HRS

We are now rowing in the Dawki Lake. It has the purest water in the world. We can even see the deep-water stones. We will be going to Myalyllang and then to Cherrapunji to rest.

1930 HRS

We have reached Sohra or Cherrapunji (whichever name you prefer) and the we crossed to hills to come here. When it had gone all dark the hazy lights of Sohra came into the dazzling view. We have eaten our dinner and now I am going to sleep.

We did local sightseeing and tackled the Double Decker Root Bridge. It was a tiresome journey and we stepped 10038 steps to reach there. It was much beautiful there. All of us are tired today.

1845 HRS

We went to the Kamakya Temple and some local sites here in Guwahati. Oh! What the hell! I forgot to write the diary yesterday!! Yesterday we just came back to Guwahati. Not much loss there is for my diary.

1940 HRS

We are in train and are going home. I am listening to Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds’ O! Children and writing the diary. What a song it is!!
